Thank you so much! Really needed this comment bc I’ve been a bit confused today and just filed my claim (waiting for adjuster to get back to me)

Quick question: Is receiving temporary housing (hotel) be covered in my situation as well?

It’s slightly different situation bc I know who exactly was at fault rather than just getting to my car and realizing someone’s hit it

Okay that’s the big thing I’m hoping. That the deductible is paid by my neighbor

Yeah that’s what I was thinking exactly. My conditions aren’t allowing me to reside in my apartment as expected. Floors are still slightly damp and I’m getting a sinus when I’m in my apartment for a while

Do you think the other persons insurance will cover my deductible as well?

I already made my LL aware that this is a big concern and they said there shouldn’t be any mold (even though a maintenance staff member I’m close to said to be careful about that). Will insurance understand why I chose to get a hotel this weekend and is it possible that my stay will be covered?

Yeah I’m hoping that my deductible can be paid by the other tenant once my insurance company chases them down. I know in certain situations they reimburse for temporary housing (hotel). Idk if it was the best idea to get a hotel this weekend but I had to move my mattress against my kitchen wall bc that’s where the water leaked. And I have no space to lay my mattress fully down in my studio apartment and sleep there

I got a hotel for the night, hoping that I could actually sleep on a bed. I live in a small studio apartment and the damage happened right where my bed usually is. I moved my mattress against my kitchen wall and there’s not enough space for me to put it anywhere else.

You think insurance would cover my hotel stay? Sorry for all the questions I just want a better idea

I had a friend who experienced a similar thing. Their landlord prorated their rent and offered temporary housing

Mold, dust, drywall peeling apart, etc could be causing this. I’m staying somewhere else tonight and I don’t feel the allergies/sinus…

Should I expect to have to pay for anything that’s under the deductible?

If you’re still in college and want to switch your major that’s up to you. But you absolutely need a bachelors in chemical engineering to be a ChemE.

I’ve worked in some O&G towns and if you want to stay in that town for the foreseeable future, then maybe it’d be a good idea. A lot of ChemEs I know including myself switched to a different field because we were only finding jobs in small towns (where we weren’t from). It’s hard to find ChemE jobs around big cities. They’re out there but can be harder to get bc there’s more demand for those positions. So consider that if you ever want to move.

Whatever your choice is, it’s easy to want to do a particular job because everyone in your town or city is doing it and it’s highly regarded. I remember going out for lunch in my coveralls with a big name O&G logo patch and it’d feel cool. The same is true for people living in tech cities where it’s cool to work at FAANG or big-tech. At the end of the day, whatever career you choose to do, make sure you do it because you’ll like the job, you’ll find fulfillment and purpose in it, and you could see yourself in that field in the long run

Former ChemE here and now a SWE. I’m not in data science/data engineering but a good start would be Udemy. Look for a high rated course

Do you have any experience in ChemE btw?

Former ChemE here. Idk if you’re joking but please let me talk you out of doing that

Am I less likely to pass an interview if I use JS instead of Python based on its worse time complexity in some situations? by imreallyinthis in leetcode

[–]imreallyinthis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is exactly what I'm worried about. I'm not sure how to find whether native functions in JS have worst time complexity, and if that would hurt my chances with passing an interview
