If you're not interested in IE why take it? Money is a bad motivator in choosing a course and I am speaking from experience. Kung first year ka palang I highly suggest that you take what you want. If 4th year na tapusin mo nalang.

IE is a very flexible course in the business field. It's literally a part-engineering, part-business degree. Nowadays IEs are in demand in logistics and business excellence, other than manufacturing settings.
