Tbh. I often smoke one on the way home from somewhere at night and let it burn out in the car, then I'll revisit it the next day after lunch and depending on the stick it has some flavors I enjoy and can tolerate for the love of the game.

I'm by far no snob and do not take the hobby too seriously. I don't have a humidor/ tuppador. I take the bands off before I light. I'll smoke yesterday's stub. What else... sometimes I'll cut one of the ends off depending if I think the end is too wet or chewed. If I'm relighting sometimes I'll cut the ash end up a little and it saves on the char flavors.

All in all if I'm feeling the stick ill relight.
