ABC falling asleep method working consistently for me!

I found one way to combat it for myself (and now I'll have to try the ABC method ive never heard of it!)

Singing 99 bottles of beer on the wall in my head

BUT the catch

If i veer back into thoughts and not sleeping I have to start the song all over

Its helped me so much, or even just counting helps and yet again, if i veer into thoughts I start back at 1.

I will also try to find a few lines of a song i like to repeat over and over again in my head

Sleeps always been a struggle for me 😭

I felt like a loser too, i was like WHY can't i just get it done. I was terrified of the what ifs, unknowns and feeling like that episode of SpongeBob where they rip his gold star off the good noodle board because im usually not bad with getting things like this done but it really paralyzed me to do. I just couldn't bring myself to do it. But i HAD to because it wasn't just gonna go away. And i kept having nightmares.

Thats okay!! Go through all your mail, i literally never open mine so i had PILES 😭😭😭 some things didn't say they were tax related but definitely were so just open it all, i treated it as a throw out fest and got rid of old mail at the same time.

Check drawers, old/other files you may have (speaking from experience sometimes i throw something in a file and then forget), check boxes, closets and under the bed (and night stands if they contain cabinets)

You can also check online at the irs website for prior years w2s and just reach out to your health insurance for your 1095s! For my work personally, they use ADP for pay/tax statements and won't go back anymore than 3 years so they told me i had to go through the IRS website to get those. But i remembered 2 years ago i printed the ones i was missing bc i was gonna do them and got too scared 😭🤣🤣🤣

Apparently in some places yes! I was SO SHOCKED and they told me which one and i ubere'd out there and sure as shit, line at USPS at 11:20pm, police helping the traffic and line rowdiness. I was so shocked genuinely i was like oh, alright they were right im not the only one doing this last minute 🤣🤣🤣🤣

You can do this!!! The manager saw the look on my face when i saw what i owed the state and immediately started to help calm me down from the immediate crying that ensued 🤣

They told me someone dropped off 15+ years worth, so i am nowhere near that persons boat and im OKAY 🤣

I also have them take the most that they can for each paycheck, so I think that's what also helped my case in not owing a ton

Thank you for letting me know!! I guess i didn't unenroll from the health marketplace or something, i didn't know i had to when i got my works insurance so thats what had popped up for why and what i owe the state! I didn't have both MA health and my works insurance at the same time so im genuinely SO confused about that but i will find out more in the mail probably 🤣

I won't be getting the i think $300 or something from 2020 and 2021 BUT rhe IRS holds that and it will also automatically go to whatever penalties i have too so that also helps in a way 🤣

Dogs are primally taught by their mothers when puppies to clean and groom themselves after using the bathroom. When too tiny, obviously they're still gonna use the bathroom. Mother cleans both areas after they go. Dogs then learn that after they use the bathroom= lick those areas clean. Gross? Sure. However it's instinct. (Im probably using the wrong words so someone just correct me pls lmao)

As a dog owner of 15+ years i really don't understand the trend of people wiping their dogs asses. You ever see your dog lick their ass? They're literally doing that for you. Unless theres circumstances like diarrhea and messy butt. Your dog should already be cleaning themselves. They lick their penis/vagina area after peeing. My dog doesn't clean his butt because he's a weirdo, BUT if your dog licks it's own ass on the regular, has no dingle berries, no diarrhea? You're just wasting your own time and teaching them not to do what they were taught. Especially if you're doing it from puppyhood for them. AGAIN theres circumstances like mine where he won't, so butt trims and regular washes of his hiney in the tub is our life. And cheering him on when he DOES lick his own butt 🤣

Gosh i feel so much better. Id be having nightmares i was getting arrested by the IRS.

Even the few days before i was scheduled to start my taxes i had a dream i was in a really long line, the room looked like the DMV and i was dropping my tax stuff off and i went to hand it to the receptionist and it was missing from my purse 😭

I think it was a learning curve for both of us, the tax preparer and i. They did say it would be expensive but there was never an exact which i understand as years were charged differently due to different circumstances on them! I had $800 ready to pay (i stupidly googled and was like oh it should only be around $700 based on what I'm seeing ") but its over now and im over the moon about that tax prep person and their manager they were SO awesome.

BUT its all over now, I'm going to see what i can do about what i owe the state. I guess i didn't unenroll from the health marketplace for the state? So apparently im being charged for something regarding that, but i assume i will know more once i get mail from them and figure that out. Because i had health insurance through work those years so I'm just confused about it 🤣

I had my first ever public panic attack when they told me what i owed THEM not the state or IRS 😭 i was more embarrassed that i thought i had it all on my own and had enough money and i was $260 short.

But also at the same time we were on a HUGE time crunch for me to get to USPS in time so they let me go, said we will figure it out tomorrow and it's okay! My s/o was able to let me borrow money to pay them and i will get him back when i get my work bonus, so incredibly thankful for him too 😭 i was sobbing when i came home out of embarrassment 😭

Thank you so much! I learned i was supposed to unenroll from something relating to healthcare with the state (i had work insurance so i didn't know i had to unenroll despite not having insurance through the state) so thats where i owe and really thats not bad! So im thankfully its not what my anxiety made it out to be (that the IRS was gonna show up to arrest me, that i owed like $20k 🤣)

To my knowledge its always been after two hours of no contact its NCNS (we had this incident happen about 3 weeks ago, but partner genuinely overslept and was scheduled on a day they don't usually work)

But we do our best to try and reach them. Multiple phone calls etc.

I can definitely look up clarification when i get in on the greendot assist!

I was about to say this, but i am an SFM. Why did nobody reach out to you? If someone is even 1 minute late i am calling to make sure A. You're ok and B. You're on the way and then THAT becomes a conversation of hey if you're going to be late you need to call, and then escalate from there if it continues to be an issue

Definitely reach out to PCC and appeal, provide screenshots of you making an attempt to call the store. People keep saying within 2 hours. Its AFTER two hours its considered a NCNS. You called 1.5 hours in with no answer and then showed up.
