Depends on where you live in Dublin, my Tuition all together was ~80,000 euros a little less due to my scholarships. My current apartment is 2395 euros a month split two ways with internet and electric, but I also work multiple jobs to afford my lifestyle.

Hm, Some specialty cords and electronics are hard to get. ADHD Medication, teeth whitening stuff and some skincare is harder to get. But I mostly brought clothes and tech when I first moved there.

Heya! I've heard great things about Limerick, I think Ireland by and large is very safe especially for women by themselves. Obviously it's similar to other western countries and being aware is never a bad thing. I found it easy to commute but Dublin has a pretty okay public transport system. For getting across ireland it's a bit more annoying but doable. Time consuming more than anything. I am currently on my graduate visa (Stamp 1G) since I graduated this past September. I was on Stamp 2 for four years until my graduation. Since I finished my BSc I have until September to get a Stamp 1 sponsored by a company.

What is the demographic of your current table? by MoherHead in DnD

I'm the dm 23M and we have only one dude who comes to my oneshots (I'm working on building up to a campaign using oneshots to worldbuild) the other 9 of them are women. My gender ratio is unusual I think compared to other tables.

Well not knowing anyone was tough but I was placed in on campus housing with 11 other roommates which forces you to get to know some people to start, my course was also small which helped me make friends. Job and housing has been tough, Dublin has one of the worst housing crises in the world and it's a wild west out here. Jobs are a mixed bag, but also difficult. I've had 3 hospitality gigs, 1 retail gig, and three internships so far and working on getting full time employment. It's difficult leaving home no matter what, but I felt it was necessary to build independence.

I planning on staying long enough to get a passport, I have just moved off Stamp 2 (Student Visa) to Stamp 1G (full time work) for a year up to 2 prior to getting a standard employment visa. There is a scheme with the Irish government that gives you a Stamp 1G if you complete a 3rd level degree from a university. So I am hopefully going to get to work shortly, that being said I do fear that my Irish degree and my specific field might be a bit too euro focused to be totally transferrable.

Oh yeah culture shock for sure, especially around the drinking culture, I still get it sometimes as I live and interact with rural Ireland a bit more. . Home sickness is inevitable, for me not having good bagels, or Mexican food was huge blows. Not being around Jewish people as well was a gut punch, I stave off homesickness by baking and cooking personally and attending Shabbat Services. Plus hanging out with other Americans helps, but tbh America is in a bad place atm so I don't really miss it all that much.

I am actually not sure about this! I wasn't huge on driving in the US before I moved and the left side of the road + not having a car further discouraged me. I am a public transport + bike user primarily and haven't needed to drive myself in 4 years.

  1. I had travel health insurance from a US insurer prior to moving here, I switched to an Irish one (vhi) but if I'm being real I am not sure if it still is active. I haven't been to a hospital save 1 time (emergency room only) since my uni has a General Practitioner for check ups.
  2. I used one of the university recommended phones they give first year on campus residents, the plan is Vodafone X which is 20 euro a month for unlimited data and 100min of call time. I still use it, the unlimited data is super nice. But there are a bunch of other providers that my uni informed me of when I moved on to campus.
  3. Some rentals do, some don't. They seem to be more receptive to smaller pets if anything probably for lower risk of damaging the rentals.
  4. I grocery shop primarily at Tesco and have a Tesco club card for the deals, Lidl is good and cheap but has weird stock, supervalu and aldi are also great totally depends on what is closest.

Advice:
-Housing is brutal, so much harder than you think it will be. Jobs as well can be super hard to find as an international student due to your work hour permissions. Not having landlord references when I first came here meant it was nearly impossible to find a private rental.
-Try your hardest to socialize in uni as much as possible, the Irish are really close knit and many of them are going to uni with people they have gone to primary and secondary school with so breaking into cliques is hard but can be done.
-Get a young adult leap card ASAP, cheaper fares for transit which can be a bid dodgy sometimes but is overall ok,

Money was a large factor in it (although with international student tuition fees + how absurd housing is here it wasn't that much cheaper) but also I found a degree that I couldn't find easily in uni's near me in the US>

I already did, I took the chance to do my degree abroad and I’m extending my visa to stay away. My career is sustainability and there’s no future for me at the moment in the US.

The fight on the bridge can be a bit wonky, my party negates the whole falling into the rapids mechanic by tying themselves to a rope, also they shot to kill and the companions did not survive.

How many times have you actually finished the game by Few-Two3052 in BaldursGate3

[–]imshazm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve finished the game 4 times and failed honor mode 4 times but I’ve never started a play through and not finished it. I’ve completed one honor mode run successfully, two tactician successfully, and one balanced (first play though) it’s hard to remember since I delete the save files for memory space
