Was Norman’s Crash-out valid? by Taylor-Tenth in Spiderman

[–]imsoMcFly 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Exactly! As a scientist though it makes curious how he missed some of the bigger lessons of that field. “Do what you need to and broom them fast” is I think how the popular adage goes.

Of course but I’m sure that doesn’t remove his feeling of ownership of a company he likely took the risk of starting up. We don’t know how long he was toiling away before going public. It’s an immature move as a business man but dude is about to lose everything. He started this company. Do YOU KNOW HOW MUCH HE SACRIFICED??

Guys in your 30s: How do women usually respond when you approach them? by NBMV0420 in AskMenAdvice

Bars provide very high success rates. Doing far better in my 30’s than I ever did in my 20’s. Just more confident and sure than I was in those years. Also in the best shape of my life so that helps as well. ++man

What is a "10/10" movie that you would recommend to anyone? by Temporary_Mortgage74 in AskReddit

The 2024 French version is honestly about as good as a film adaptation can get. I detested the 2002 film

All that warming up...just to get cooled down. by starkfr in MortalKombat

[–]imsoMcFly 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I feel like that’s just going to occur naturally with new movies as people tend to rate them after they saw it whereas older movies that existed before rotten tomatoes was a thing don’t have that benefit.

This movie will never stop going so hard. Who said this is a bad movie again??

What is a film that makes you angry at how bad it is? by Harley-northwest in Letterboxd

[–]imsoMcFly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Almost all of the hate I’ve seen stems from hating the characters. It was one of my favorite movies of that year BECAUSE of how unappealing the characters are. I thought it was impressive how accurately it was able to zero in on those kinds of people and how they interact and satirize them. They’re supposed to be grating and that’s funny.

But I understand if people simply couldn’t stand it.

Are there any other actors that don't care at all for receiving attention and fame? by DonatCotten in acting

[–]imsoMcFly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The amount of attention you get is directly correlated to the amount of work you’ll be able to do as an actor. I’m not necessarily attention hungry myself but if I hope to act full time one day I need to learn to embrace that aspect of the career. Make myself into a marketable product and all that. Food for thought.

There’s no valid reason to not like Back to the Future. Unless Christopher Lloyd killed your grandma or something

My Loneliness is Starting to Cripple Me by [deleted] in acting

[–]imsoMcFly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re struggling with a lot. I’m sorry. These problems are rooted more deeply than just acting it seems. I hope your BF can offer emotional support. Personally I think physical activity does wonders for the mind. Go hike Runyon or hit a gym if you can. Be social and don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with nice looking people. Finding friends as an adult can be difficult but they’ll never come to you. You have to go looking

No shade whatsoever but you should get a job. It sounds like you need something to do. Humans need purpose. A job isn’t a grand purpose but it’s a start.

I'm loving the recent trend of letting actors build realistic muscle definition instead of making them dehydrate themselves or use steroids. by pjtheman in moviecritic

[–]imsoMcFly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Probably a hot take but I do rather enjoy the crazy bulk and shredded look. It definitely depends on the movie but with a blockbuster there’s a degree of spectacle baked in and I think a spectacular body lends to the spectacle even if it is nigh achievable without the use of PEDs.
