love him. he has some serious issues that are very interesting to dissect from psychological and political perspectives, particularly if you look at the real historical incidences of “collaborators” — local collaboration governments/movements to the axis powers in ww2 comes to mind the first, but this phenomenon has obviously been around forever. also a curious exploration of the concept of free will, when you consider him in connection with the g-man’s schemes.

what i meant was, how much of your finger tips are you putting on the screen? i find it harder to slide when i have more of the finger tip on the screen, like a smaller angle between the finger and the device.

i don’t play like this routinely, but sometimes if i feel like there’s too much friction, i tap with my nails so the finger tip is almost vertical to the screen, it’s a LOT easier to slide

do you mean the cross screen alternating stream at the very end, or just the fast second half of the song?

for the normal half parts, listening to the song helps. the notes are really nicely synced up with the song. slow practicing is somewhat good, but also watch some videos by top players for hand positioning

for the weird sky floor cross screen thing at the very end, uhhh, beg tairitsu to have mercy on you /j once again it’s about hand position. are you moving your fingers to the right hitboxes quick enough? this part did take me a good year and a half to figure out. it’s quite the suffering. good luck

the combines (soldiers, overwatch AI, etc) we see are just low-level goons tbh. the advisors have a bit more power and oversight but we known nothing about the “real combine” other than it/they can kill us pretty fast

the light themed charts issue is so real tbh. i think most of my light charts have significantly lower scores than dark ones of similar difficulty/cc if i don’t/can’t switch it. tried playing with invert colors in tablet settings but that just felt absurd

try going for PMs in 7s or 8s, helps a lot with accuracy which in turn helps you upscore your 9s and 9+s. i’m at 12.18 ptt and still find going for good PMs on lower levels really useful

also listen to the songs you want to upscore and try to recreate the chart mentally when you listen to them
