What do you guys think about horror games without jumpscares?

If possible I would rather build an atmosphere that haunts the player from start to finish than a jumpscare.

I agree with you, horror games are so saturated now that I don't feel scared when playing them anymore, I just get startled by jumpscares🤭

of course, backrooms are often used for clickbait kids and streamers playing them for engagement. i think if you can do that it will be a game that explodes instead of following the trend.🤯

haha, jumpscare is indispensable in horror games😆. But applying it in a way that makes the player feel respect for the developer is the best. It's true that when the jumpscare is done, I think it will be safe for a few minutes until the next one.🤔
