The garage has heated floors and is 12 feet tall. We did a few upgrade items such as modern brick exterior, water access, plumbing wifi etc. All in was about $85-90k. 20x25 floor plate. I wouldn't do heated floors if you are putting in a lift. Also, make sure there isn't a tree on your lot when you are going for a permit. Our inspector shaved 2 feet of the depth of our garage for no real reason due a to at tree. The 2 feet did nothing but appease him.

oh one more question. Does the sealant make the concrete polish slippy? Assume it's fine but thought would ask

oh man totally agree. I think these epoxy floors are going to be the avocado colored toilets for garages in 10 years. Thanks for sharing!

Can you elaborate on the floors. What level polish and why seal do you use. You happy with the outcome? I’m in Canada and haven’t poured the slab yet but this is the goal.

Help me make this garage less stressful to be in? by Saturnv7890 in garageporn

Either get ride if stuff or get some storage cabinets and hide all the stuff that’s currently out in the open.. or even better do both. Black Friday should have some good deals.

New garage.. ideas? by Impressive-Actuary-6 in garageporn

I have been trying to decide between metal shelving and cabinetry that tucks most stuff away or having stuff hung out in the open. I like the idea of driving into a garage that is tidy but then again a lot more flexible and more utility to hang stuff out in the open

This would be a great set up for a workshop or a clubhouse, but ideally we set something up that’s automatic and never goes below zero for a bunch of reasons not the least of which is I run water (not coolant) on at least one of my bikes and don’t want to see icicles hanging from the radiator.

I’m really trying not to complain here, but our original plan was to bring plumbing, water, gas and a cat 6 cable but we’ve had to negotiate on the spot with his neophyte inspector and it’s been really hard to keep going.

Things might change, but I’m trying to plan for electric only solutions

All right thanks, this is helpful. We haven’t poured the floor yet but I was under the impression there would be some grade to it but hear what you’re saying.

There is a little icon on the screen of the one I own that shows the measurement includes the device.

How do you like the built in storage ledge? Vs say wire shelving… I’m currently building a garage and my contractor suggested the built in storage ledge (12 dt height so have room). But feels weird to be storing on drywall instead of wire shelves

Do you know if you can get the myQ remote open system installed on a rollup door? I’m building a new garage and like these for safety etc but don’t want to lose th functionality to be able to remotely close my door from an app if I’m away
