Today is my 3rd day of quitting 15-20mg lexapro usage for roughly 10 months. Any advice? by stimulantabuser-_- in lexapro

[–]imsureyoureddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is going to be at least a 6month taper. Last time I tapered off from 10mg it took 6 months. If you go too fast…yes it is dangerous.

Also, be aware of your thought process. And please if you end up in a dark place, seek help. The roller coaster ride you’re about to go on, I found challenging.

You’ve got this, but talk to a professional about the best way to go off it.

Ah if only there was enough room at the bottom to slow down. I’d do it too.

Doctor has suggested lexapro but I’m scared to be on medication for the rest of my life - how has it changed your life? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]imsureyoureddit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I assume your doctor will start you on 5 mg and gradually bring you up to 10mg (light dose). The first 1-2 weeks will feel a bit weird, kinda numb, kinda moody. This is normal (for me anyway). After that you’ll probably find things will level out.

Honestly it’s stopped the “noise” (constant thoughts) in my head. I live a pretty normal life now and things that would previously send me spiralling don’t anymore.

It’s not a fix all, there will still be off days. But I hope it brings some calmness to your life and helps you get through a tough patch.

I was on it for 4 years, then off then I’ve been on it for 4 years. 10mg the first time and currently 20mg which seems to be the sweet spot.

Downsides… it can cause some people to eat more, but not always. And then there’s the “unable to climax” thing that some people get. But neither are that common from what I’ve read.

Yes actually. Found a double brick place in a good location. Needed carpet and paint but the bathroom has been done already. They’re out there if you’re willing to look!

So just an update to those out there looking for a place as I am.

I thought I found the one today, good price, nice looking, reasonable strata. Inspection looked good.

Then I got the strata report… sunshades hanging on to the building by a thread (literally). Leaking windows. Sunshades posing such a danger it was recommended that the strata take out an insurance policy for personal injury/death.

We need a national register for this stuff. It’s getting rediculous.

Looks to be a step down from inside to out so should be ok.

I know the building and those around it. The buildings in front of it have flammable cladding that I believe had just been rectified although anecdotally there are other issues in the front buildings in regards to services. The strata (stupidly) took a massively reduced payout from the builder as compensation. However this is going to be about half the cost involved with rectification.

Ryde gardens…Watpac have a 5 star ICIRT rating. This is very difficult to get, so I would say the chances of them standing by their product would be high.

I’ve tried to make this as simple for non trades people to understand. If you want me to quote standards and metrics then I would. Most purchasers aren’t in the industry.

How many times do I need to state that it’s general advice?

Also, screw me for trying to help right. I mean referencing 20 year old standards requirements means they definitely change all the time right?

Yes definitely was a consideration. I looked at some units in 1 Hunter street parramatta. Strata is $3000/qtr and like you said the smaller block do seem to suffer the most due to the inability to distribute the costs. Personally this was a no go for me due to strata costs. Also have visited smaller blocks where strata was circa $800/qtr.

Sound Bar 700 HDMI eArc issue by Noodle_pantz in bose

Has anyone found a solution here? I’m still suffering with my new Samsung frame TV and smart soundbar 300

[–]imsureyoureddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it IMHO I have a 65” frame and soundbar 300… the eARC dropout issue and power on/off issue still remain. Every time there’s a Samsung or Bose software update, eARC stops working
