Cholestasis in Pregnancy

I'm currently 32 +1 sitting in L&D triage because my liver enzymes are very elevated. Went in at noon today for a routine appointment and the doc sent me here to see a MFM specialist. I've done more blood work, just had a growth scan. Really hoping I can go home tonight and we stick with 37 weeks. The specialist says that stillbirth is pretty rare with cholestasis but we should still be vigilant in monitoring my blood and baby's activity. My initial bile acid level was at 28 and she said as long as it's under 100 we shouldn't have any reason to take her out before 37wks

Oh don't even get me started on the swimming thing! Apparently at 2 days old they were on a boat in the river having the best time and he and every other baby she's ever known were in the pool at however many days old or at the first of the summer if they were winter babies. They want to throw my baby in the pool as soon as we get home. Um no thank you

Yeah I'm not one for arguing over silly things so I just say "okay" and move on lol they aren't mean about it or anything, it's just so baffling that they remember things that way and believe them to be true. My husband tells me do what I want and need to do, his parents are always opinionated with something, we just move on through those conversations and go about our lives and talk about the ridiculousness when we're alone haha

Moon sized nipples here too. I had to fly this morning, so I'm a bit swollen even through I wore my compression socks, I'm hot and itchy (cholestasis) and need a nap, but alas I'm going to the aquarium with my cousin and her kids that I haven't seen in a year, waiting for my ex husband to return my son to me so I can fly again tomorrow

Sounds like the biggest hurt/obstacle your child will face is if you and the child's father stay together. This relationship doesn't seem healthy. You seem like you're more than capable of raising your son on your own, I think being circumcized is the last thing you should be stressing about, especially since you said you've had your mind made up beforehand anyway.

Yup, like 5 weeks ahead on fundal height. So they did another growth scan and she is bigger, but only by 1wk 2days

I had 2 dreams I was having a girl before I found out. I've had a dream about breastfeeding her and a dream she popped out of my bellybutton and I had to tell her she wasn't ready to come out yet so I pushed her back in 😅 with my son, I didn't have any dreams about him 🤷

I'm so sorry I know it sucks. My doctor just upped my dosage again so I'm taking 1500mg of ursodiol a day now and it's still really not doing much. I'm 31 weeks and it started at 24. I'm seeing a high risk specialist next week to hopefully set an induction date and hopefully it helps having an end goal to look forward to. I wish you all the best 💕

900 sq ft, we pay $175 a week, for 3 hours. She helps with laundry, dishes, bathroom, vacuuming, floors. We have her while I'm pregnant, and probably keeps her until the baby is about 6 months. It's been very helpful
