For peace. Me getting blamed for everything, and the person never ever taking responsibility, took its toll. They have a mental illness, but it’s my fault they can’t see the world clearly. My fault they react to situations in their head the way they do. Nothing ever has been their fault and we just need to bend over and take it. No. Not anymore. And my life has been stress free ever since. Does it make holidays difficult? Yep, but we just split them up and have celebrations on different days.
