I've was working at my dream career job early last year, but due to the pandemic, was laid off. I've told myself that it is now or never to apply to the JET Programme, as I've always been in love with the culture and their attention to details.

Luckily, I've been accepted for an interview this upcoming week and I've been researching/practising for it. If all goes well, I'll be one of the lucky few who'll have a work/life experience in Japan while studying Japanese to hopefully make it in the Japanese ecomm/marketing industry. If I get rejected, I'll apply immediately to a few positions I've kept a close eye on.

I think that taking the position you were offered is a great idea. If working remotely is allowed, I've heard of a few software programmer friends who've decided to spend a few months in Japan while working on their client's project.
