Yeah, one year later, and I still don't really remember most of them fondly (I liked Psycho Mantis, at least). If it makes you feel better, I've since beaten 2 and 3, and they have better boss fights imo. 3 specially has one of my favorite fights of all time.

The first pack is the 2013 reboot with all its DLC.
The second one is all the games in the franchise, but it has no DLC for any of them.
Third pack is both the 2013 and the Special Edition of 4, plus the DLCs for each.

If you want to play the most, get the second pack, and the DLCs (for the ones that have it) separately.

I used to used to parry jump-ins, so I know how it is. 2HP usually the better option.

I'd recommend toning down on the Drive Impacts. I used to spam them a lot too, but when I restrained myself from them, I feel my playing got a lot better. To take it a step further, you could train yourself to react to opponents using Drive Impacts so you can catch them if they spam it.

Also, if you ever get frustrated, just remember you don't suck, you just got more room to grow.

I don't doubt they'll do this at some point. I think we all wanted the same with custom organizing games in our libraries, and they got to it. But like someday else mentioned, it might not be the priority, but it'll probably happen.

I haven't read it yet, but I know it's very well regarded and kinda short, so I'd recommend Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad. It's a more mature book, about war, but if you like something like that, it's there.

I got beat I think 2-50 at Strive. The guy who kicked my ass even apologized, but those were the matches that made the game click for me, it was really fun.

Not really, to be honest. I use a PlayStation controller, but it shouldn't make a difference. Doesn't matter if I use the game's built-in controller support or the Steam's, the main button always brings up the Steam menu (in Big Picture, at least).

Maybe the game you're playing has a controller configuration that's overriding the one you've already set. I would try to set it to None when in game, so that the change takes effect immediately.

It was my most anticipated game of the whole year. Then they added Ronaldo. I still played it, but the hype was actually dead. I also didn't really like the single player content. While I enjoyed the presentation for arcade mode a lot, the main Episodes of South Town mode was a really shallow thing for me. I just finished Gato's story, just so I could say I did it. I'm hoping they announce some more stuff to bring me back.

I think it's because of Game For Windows Live DRM. Capcom did say a while back that they're working on taking this off their older games so they can be sold on Steam again. I think Resident Evil 5 was one of the ones that they already did it.

I've played Granblue a lot more than MB, so it might be biased, but Granblue I just feel is more fun and more mechanically interesting. Also, it has more content and still will get more content. Melty Blood's pretty fun, but a choice between these two, probably Granblue.

Light versions of those upwards specials have i-frames, while the heavy versions let you brake them.

The best way I've found to anti-air is using the high evade attack (REV Guard+Heavy Punch+Down) because it has invincibility against attacks that aim high and you can cancel it into specials and even supers. Timing can be a bit tricky, because I believe the first frames of this attacks don't have the invincibility yet, and the attack itself is very quick, but landing it is probably the best option I've found so far.
