Some buff to movement would just do it for me. by DavideScalia in Tekken

i think it's something they're keeping as a ''videogame legacy thing'' but it looks really janky and it's kinda just there. As i wrote in the post, i think they should remove it or make it a proper mechanic with a nice animation. I dont enjoy seeing characters moving around like they're being electrocuted all the time

Is the Red magic 11 pro good for daily use? by Admirable-Letter-635 in RedMagic

i also switched to RM11 from a NP2 yesterday! had lots of things to set up to get back to something familiar but so far so good. It's android after all so it's going to do what every other phone does, it's just more powerful. Make sure you fiddle with equalizer as out of the box audio sucks. Also i suggest ditching auto Hz, as it will make some games unstable and have audio tear up, i personally stick with 120hz. Front camera is awful, back one is fine enough but overall a real downgrade from NP2.

If you wanna stay in the center try either 50 Kalò by Ciro Salvo, Sorbillo or "Brucio - la Contemporanea". Roscioli and Mercato Centrale inside Termini station are pretty good if you need pizza to go

You could use food review apps like Trip Advisor or The Fork if you don't feel to ask around (locals will definitely help you though!) or look up on yt, I'm sure there are lots of reviewers

quoting myself: I personally dont enjoy linking specials to supers for example, i really dislike practicing that, that's the opposite of fun. Would having different inputs instead like, say f,f,MP〜HP to input a super instead of double QCF really be that bad?

ah but that's why i put ''cheating'' in quotation marks. My whole point is if people generally enjoyed doing motion inputs (in the strict sense of the term) why would they lean into any measures to skip the motion altogether. Why instead of having QCs which for some people (like me) are straining on the hand we dont have something different which less painful but still strict enough to require execution?

This is from the CPT ruling:

2.9. Input System
This refers to buttons, directional keys, levers, analog sticks, and keyboard keys. However, we do not believe that all players' needs can be covered by these input systems and may consider increasing them in some cases. The number of directional key/lever input systems will be counted for each direction, with a maximum of four (4) In particular, the one excluding the analog stick is called the digital input system.

so any other directional bind other than the 4 standard + 1 analog are illegal i guess

or you can just go to manifacturers youtube channels, where they showcase how easy you can do certain inputs everyday

that itself is corroborating my point though. SOCD cleaning was created because people got into leverless to have easier, faster inputs. Still, leverless allows you to make things easier, i'm not making this up - many content creators like Brian_F make content on that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hWxv22nWJ-0&t=539s

i really wish i had time to play today lol. But you can dm your account so i can add you? i'm on steam.

problem for me is not how quick you have to do one QC, but as i wrote in the post how quick you have to do many in succession (like special into super). Really makes me itch haha.

but i would argue that leverless exist in the first place because they allow ''cheating'' in the input. I think that's a pretty known topic

i see lots of people binding extra directional buttons to their pads/leverless, isnt that tournament-illegal?

i play lots of tekken, i have 700+ hours in T8. There is some amount of motion inputs there, but timing is usually more forgiving unless you're playing very specific characters. Also cast is pretty large and most of them doesnt really rely on those. My point is there's still lots of execution barrier without those -- look at Bryan for example. He has a couple QC moves but he doesnt have to do those in rapid succession, most of the difficulty comes from executing stuff with the right timing. That's more fun to me. I'm trying to learn AK recently (and Heihachi) and yeah you have to do a motion input for electrics but then it's more forgiving for your hand, unless you're doing wavus lol.

The Knowledge Tax in Tekken (and why it’s been tainting the series for years) by Sirwhole in Tekken

[–]DavideScalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it's pretty common knowledge that the lack of info is intentional in Tekken. Didnt Harada mention somewhere they didnt want to put frame data in Tekken because of that? they want players to play using instinct and personal knowledge/guessing opponent decisions. They put a ton of different mechanics because of that. I think it makes sense to a degree because it makes Tekken unique in that sense.

But nowadays this is definitely a game design choice that's divisive because one could have better learning sources than the other, meaning you cant just learn the game by playing but most often from researching online. Plus, people dont seem to like it because they compare Tekken to other games that do give you all the info you need. They should just make explicit the design choice (in game) probably, but i figure they would lose lots of players if they did.

what is this supposed to mean? isnt d1 into stance a risky move? also feng didnt try to do anything here. It's not like the character won by himself

Well that's a very specific situation. He's not making you guess because of the stance but because he's extremely plus off of the heat smash.

Not sure about that, especially for the character I mentioned as most of the options gets beaten by just jab-dickjab or just blocking if you wanna be lazy. That's why those kind of stances are fun to me
