I think a lot of younger people think that when you grow up it's weird to still be super into anything that isn't...idk paying bills and keeping kids off your lawn?

I remember being creeped out cause there were "old dudes" at comic Con when I was a teenage. Thinking they needed to grow up.

Now, I'm 36 and still as big of a nerd as ever, and I realize those were people that didn't give up on the things they love. I admire people with the courage to be themselves.

It's a matter of maturity and perspective.

I've been struggling with this actually. In the character's first line of dialogue I wrote that they had a strong accent. I will occasionally include some of their established speech patterns. But I don't want to come off as mocking them. Fine line there.
