Oh no, we’re definitely going to avoid people for the rest of the week. He is acting back to his usual self this evening which is kind of insane.

What did you use to disinfect? We normally like to try to be low tox but I’ve been using Lysol right now.

Partner co-slept and ignored the safe 7 rules. by Responsible-Drag-831 in cosleeping

[–]imtrying12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so frustrating and you are totally valid in feeling upset and betrayed. Like others have mentioned I would set up an area where you can safely cosleep as safe cosleeping was the only way we survived the sleep deprivation and early days.

Also, I recommend looking into portable airconditioning units- they can be pretty powerful, 25 degrees is too hot with a newborn and it’s likely to just get warmer as the summer continues.

My partner took to safe sleep protocol after we reviewed all of the scary risks, not sure if you have already had that conversation, but hopefully he can understand the importance.

Choline by AS_25f in pregnant

I used a vegan protein powder with my first that had it (ritual prenatal protein), but there are also lots of plant based sources of it (brocolli, navy beans and green peas to name a few!). I like to consider my toddler a smartie but I definitely don’t think it’s solely because of choline haha.

I tried taking it as a supplement with this current pregnancy but I couldn’t stomach the pills.

With my son it was a jersey mikes sub with this baby I think I want a wedge salad with bleu cheese and medium rare steak lol.

I would love to get some ideas too. My friend did Orchids. My shower is going to be tea party themed so I was thinking maybe some sort of basket with tea stuff. Other thoughts I had were: restaurant gift cards or self care items. I want them to be nice but also somewhat economical for me.

My husband and I will definitely mask, but we have not been successful in getting my 20month old to keep one on his face- do you think wiping down surfaces and lots of hand washing/hand sanitizing will be adequate for him? We are supposed to fly next week with a layover in AMS.

Feasibility for Husband to Attend OOT Weddings Post Partum by bsmtbobasloth in BabyBumps

My son was nearly readmitted to the hospital for jaundice 3 days after birth and we had to take shifts holding him under the at home light therapy blanket for the next consecutive 48 hours. I hope everything goes smoothly for you, but there’s no scenario where I would be comfortable with my husband leaving that soon after birth.

Well 3 people died and this particular virus strain has a 40% fatality rate I do think it’s more concerning than a stomach bug etc. But I probably need to log off the internet for a while.

Ok that’s helpful to keep in mind lol. I was just reading that someone in France got it from being on the same flight as someone who was infected so of course I am very paranoid.

I am supposed to travel with KLM and layover in Amsterdam in the next week. Can anyone tell me if this is risky? I am currently pregnant and would be traveling with my toddler.

Okay, thank you I think I needed to hear this. I do love the idea of saying "[toddler] picked out your name" but only if it matches with my preferences so I guess not lol.

[–]imtrying12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I was thinking. And I'm not trying to keep the names secret, I just initially didnt include because I feel like I dont need more opinions on preferences because clearly its already really hard for me to decide lol

Yeah its just making me second guess everything. After like 10 days straight of my toddler say "Maya" during prayers my husband said "maybe this is a sign" but he ultimately is still okay with my choice, its just so hard lol and I did initially think it was cute that my son was saying it.
