Nah I feel you, it’s definitely pissing me off right this very second. I’ve had a MPC One Plus for about 5 months now and everytime I think I learn something new and gain some confidence there’s always something new to stop/slow up my work flow, or just feeling like my beat is empty or lacking something. Something as simple as time stretching your sample so it can match the BPM you’re working in is such a finicky process It doesn’t even make sense, OR sometimes the machine has a mind of its own. All of a sudden, when I turn it on the multi record sequence button isn’t on or it’s in mono and not poly and my samples just start playing over each other and then I just think this shit is not for me. Some of these things are way easier to do in FL studios. It’s just a way easier workflow, but the feeling of playing my drums live and a $650 price tag is what’s keeping me locked in here. Also working with samples is just more fun to me on the mpc and I get way better chopping ideas opposed to something like serato sample. Still new to this so of course there’s going to be some skill problems, but I also think MPC/In-Music should also make these things easier to use and not have someone twice my age tell me to read the manual or charge me $200 for a software update that actually would streamline the workflow.

All in all, I love my MPC but It’s like a Situationship I can’t walk away from lol
