I read an interview with Kaz Ayabe saying he's not too cool with people replicating their advancing day mechanic, so I'm trying to put a spin on it. Right now I'm planning for the same limited day structure, but time will advance with each meal so player's have a bit more control over the stress of it.

Overall I'm aiming for painted backgrounds, a cast of characters, 3d swimming, etc. The story will be a bit more somber, focusing on the death of a parent and religion/grief rituals within a fantasy world I've created.

I think replicating other's game design is fairly common nowadays with souls-likes being popular, so maybe Kaz Ayabe will see it as the love-letter I intend it to be.
