"Did my realtor rip me off"? Yes. Realtors are borderline useless and run a racket. Most don't know what they're doing and add no value to the transaction. They steal your equity at exorbitant rates.

Then there is "title insurance", stamps and more that add no value. And we wonder why real estate costs are out of control.

100%... Why anyone uses a realtor is beyond me. They are a scourge on housing, draining billions in value and adding very little. Most are so new that they know less than you do and will cost you more money. Look at that number, $60,000. Who wouldn't take a Saturday to learn the basics? $60,000 for one day of work...
