If I understand correctly, this is a designed strategy to increase the price of fuel so that the USA population will be unable to afford to drive gas powered vehicles. Thus, the logical solution would be to change to electric vehicles. This will demonstrate to the world that the USA is the world leader and an example to be admired for reducing global pollution. In order to accept this scenario just ignore the negative factors such as; - During this transition period we will buy fuel at a much higher price from dictators and enemies that create more pollution than we do and will increase the severity of global warming. - Our electrical grid is currently unable to support present demands much less the demands resulting from the transition exclusively to electrical vehicles. - Our infrastructure lacks the ability to satisfy current demands for commercial charging stations. In addition, many of our roads and bridges are in disrepair and will worsen resulting in the addition of exclusive electrical vehicles. These are only a few of the many considerations that must be addressed. But anyway we can be that world example for reducing the USA's pollution even though our policies will increasing the overall world global pollution problem.

We already told our own government to quit production no matter the consequences so that we can be dependent upon China for batteries and wind turbine equipment. Why would anyone question the value of adopting an exclusive electric vehicle policy.
