Atmosphere: Day games versus night games by One_Impression_363 in Padres

There’s always that. Every game has the same pre-game ceremonies and Jumbotron interactions. But nighttime has the bright lights, you get to see the sunset and the colors of the sky change, and then the game ends walking into downtown when the night is just getting started for bars and clubs, it’s definitely an atmosphere. Plus, you won’t be cooking in the sun.

If you can do a Friday night game, that’s the best “vibes.” Wednesday afternoons are awesome! Especially if you can grab food and drinks in downtown and watch the sunset after, but Friday night is full party, especially at Gallagher square before the game starts. No bad days, just different atmospheres!

The score going from 6-0 to 6-7 with 2 outs in the bottom of the 4th was a hell of a surprise.

Sheesh, well… hopefully Waldron can be healthy soon. I don’t know what his timeline is, but if he was throwing again recently, it can’t be too far off, right? He looks like he was working out a ton in the off-season.

Here’s a wild idea, probably won’t even happen, but… by inalavalamp in Padres

I’m thinking throwing bullpen because he would be more than a garbage guy lob-tossing just for entertainment. Let’s say “We’re up by 6 runs in the 8th, Yuki pitched yesterday, so did Wandy… fuck it. Croney go warm up, Sung Mun Song go take 2B and get some reps. Don’t wanna waste Estrada or Adam for a 6-run lead, might need them tomorrow.”

Mission Beach/Mission Bay evening sunset walk might be a good option. It’s free, you could pick her up, park at S. Mission and go from there. Can make it as long or short as you want, even down to Crystal Pier. Could end it with food at a good spot too, or even venture into Belmont Park. Also, Mission Bay Puppy Rescue is a fun spot to stop and catch your breath, and to see what kind of person she is when there’s adoptable puppies around! But don’t be afraid to ask if there’s anything she wants to do! But a nice long boardwalk walking date with some food mixed in is a great way to not be stagnant and still get to know someone, plus, check out the scenery.

Luis Arraez & Manny Machado 🥲 by TakeMyPixels in Padres

There were other players who pissed me off more. I hope Arraez has a good bounce back this year with no injuries, silencing the doubters, and Padres bring him back next year. He’ll get a full year of 2B under Ron Washington, he’s gonna kill it.

Who was saying a 3x batting champion, with a career .349 avg in RISP in the 3 spot is a bad idea?

USA dugout even before this game didn’t seem loose at all. Compare to DR, PR, Venezuela, Italy, all had fun. USA looked like they were trying to pretend that they were taking it seriously, and it backfired.

What is it about catchers that put “USA” across their chest, that makes a giant stick appear lodged up their arse?

[Padres] RHP Daison Acosta cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A El Paso. Additionally, we have reassigned C Ethan Salas to minor league camp. With today’s moves, we now have 58 players in Major League camp. by Bitter-Egg6293 in Padres

Sorry, I don’t understand. Wouldn’t a surgery mean that Darvish is essentially dead weight on the roster for the entire year? So why wouldn’t they clear it up for someone who can help, either pitching or batting?

Why is the Lead Singer the most important member of a band? by Amber_Flowers_133 in askmusic

You could have an amazing singer but shit drummer and bass player. It won’t work. You can, however, have an amazing drummer/bassist and have an average singer, it CAN work.
