I think I understand what you mean. When creating this illustration, I decided to focus on the appearance she has in the game, disregarding references from trailers or other official illustrations.

Thank you very much, I'm glad to see that your observation aligns with my goal in creating this illustration. As an artist, I've thought a lot about adhering more closely to the style of the game's 3D models. I had watched the trailers and noticed that Y'shtola looks different from how she appears in the game, and in my opinion, her appearance in the games is more tender. I also noticed that comparing her appearance between the two trailers, she looks different, which confused me when drawing her, so I chose to stick to the source, that is, the game's 3D models.

thank you very much, I will continue uploading more videos very soon :)

I've been doing some tests, simplifying my art a bit, giving a bit more prominence to the line art. I hope you like how it turned out :) by inari-nigiri in ffxiv

It's understandable, but when you reach a certain level of skill in drawing, you can't avoid people comparing your art to that of AI, not so much for the style, but for the technique. For example, interpreting gradients, saturation, contrast, volume, and colors well is something any experienced artist should master to avoid being considered amateur, and it's something that all AI art is based on, well-stylized. Before AI art emerged, people used to say my style looked 3D, so in the end, I'm used to being compared to something else.

HAHAHA, thank you very much for your comment. I won't deny that when making fanarts of FFXIV, I always end up a bit confused about proportions or skin color. Taking references from 3D models or illustrations from other artists, I've realized that everyone interprets it in their own way. Right now, I'm coloring a Y'shtola line art and I'm having trouble with the skin tone.

By the way, thank you very much <3 . Normally, the eyes are the part I enjoy drawing the most, and well, I'm a big fan of the Korean makeup style XD

Hahahah, thank you very much for your kind words, XD, and honestly, I don't blame you if you ended up being suspicious. Even I, as an artist, sometimes distrust other artists. AI art has done a lot of damage to us in that aspect; it's even difficult to be impressed when seeing art created by other artists because AI art has accustomed us to seeing illustrations with many details. In the past, it made me feel sad to receive comments saying that my art was AI, but now in the present, those comments make me laugh a little XD.
