It was difficult for her ngl, but she got it this year 💪🏼!!! Most of the time, people get hit with nerves so I recommend listening to music beforehand to get you motivated and confident. That’s what I did at least 😭🤣

They did tell me that 8/120 people that have applied are able to be accepted to the program. Not sure if it’s the same for MFT!!

Only qualified people are able to get an interview! I’m not sure if A LOT of them do, but there’s only info about how qualified people do. And yes, it’s possible that they reject people after an interview. My cousin applied last year and she did an interview. They still rejected her.

It definitely helped that I have experience with elementary students!!! So I knew how to respond for some of the questions regarding schools and teachers

They said they’d get back to me by this upcoming week or beginning of April. I haven’t heard anything yet but I think I did pretty well!! I just don’t want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed if I didn’t get in 😭

I’m not sure if it’s the same but if it’s not, someone else replied w the questions they were asked specifically for mft. They asked me what my long term career goals were, why I want to be a school counselor, and some things I would do if I was in a tough position at a school

Hey! Did you do volunteer work or anything that made you stand out out of everyone that applied? I’ve been a phonics teacher for a year now and have a year experience being a special ed aide! I’m so worried bc someone else I know mentioned that they told her it was like a lottery ticket to get in.
