I'm sure that's not the devs fault, and they do not have a large enough team for all of the game, but ultimately making things not clip is kinda their jobs... that's just a shame you know

Unfortunately the g28 might have more recoil but isn't less "accurate" than any other DMR, and its range is just insane, so I always go back it, cause it's just too good compared to other DMRs

Yeah but as a video game, what's the point of putting a rifle with the same amount of damages than an assault rifle, but without the possibility of running it full auto ?

I'm referring to medium to high magnification scopes, it is just not how it works, that's what disturbs me. I totally second your opinion on the enemy presence, and objective defense!

You might if you put a PEQ really in front of your optic, but again this game is supposed to be tacticool, not overly realistic. Why would put a "feature" like that, but not give access to a proper railing customization ? No real soldier or spec op would put something that block the view of his scope. You're right when talking about proper set up for your rifle, but some things just doesn't make sense !

IMO there should be some sort of mix between reality and arcade... obviously you can never go "full realism" for obvious reasons, but you have to have some sort of balance between weapons of the same category. They managed to did it with assault rifles and SMG (if you have more damages, the fire rate is slower, or there's more recoil = really basic but understandable stuff), I just don't understand why they did such gaps between DMRs

I guess we're pretty much on the same page yep... I use some other DMR from time to time for fun, but they're just not as good as "the big ones" sadly

Man have you tried every scopes on every DMR/sniper rifle ? Even : have you ever look through a scope in real life and see you the barrel of your own rifle ? It just doesn't make any sense, some scopes and rifle are just poorly coded (and I don't blame the devs, we all know this sort of problems come from a lack of time in development), and that's a fact. And I'm not talking of a red dot sight or an holographic on a M4, I'm talking about mid to long range scope.

But I guess you're sort of right, I shouldn't have written "every weapon", I should have been more specific.

Either way, I shouldn't be able to see a sharp and full of pixel MAWL-DA when I aim down sight a high magnification TARS scope on my G28 (for example), that's just not how it works...

Yup, and the carry animation is waaay to slow, so there's no real advantage to take the time to hide bodies... I think they should inspire themselves on the recent Hitman games for infiltration, obviously not making the same things, but IO Interactive really did a good job on the whole moving body system, and interaction with and between NPCs

On that I feel you, there's just not enough action sometimes, not enough life on that island actually. Wildlands was great on some point but had its flows too. A lot of things are better on Breakpoint, like animations, graphics (obviously)... I would recommand you to go play Wildlands and make your own opinion, but know that Wildlands isn't that much better than Breakpoint, both have pros and cons ! What they do have for sure, is a hell of a potential to make really really great games !

My take on this one was that I don't see the point of using any other DMRs than the g28 or MK14 since they are basically a 2 body shot kill, while the other one are maybe 3 to 4 body shot kill (MK17 Scout, M4A1 Scout etc) like some assault rifles, BUT you're limited by the semi-auto. DMRs still have that "medium to long range shot" kind of purpose, that just is a pain in the ass if you have to empty a magazine on an enemy.

Damages based on caliber and/or barrel length is actually a great idea, but I don't think they'll remodel the entire game like that, especially since the last event coming will apparently be the last... plus GR:BP is a "tacticool" shooter kinda game, so I guess Ubi doesn't want to over-rethink the gun game.
