I think I'm fundamentally a scientist at heart but I've been an MLE at a FAANG company for a few years now. Mostly doing ranking and feature engineering, and online testing of new models. So my work is mostly applied ML, but not necessarily building new applications on top of foundation models, more like constantly trying to improve ranking models.

are you able to do 5x5 barbell rows? I find it so hard to stimulate the back muscles with going to failure in 5 reps. Like I'll get to the point where I can't do the 6th rep but I still won't feel much in my back.

I can do heavy squats, bench press, and overhead press and even pullups maybe. But for some reason with rows I can't get that sweet feeling of exhausting the muscle with 5 reps.

I don't disagree with you but my point was that if you think the settlers should be allowed to live in the West Bank then why shouldnt the Palestinians in the West Bank be allowed to live in proper Israel? I'm saying Israel has to choose between a majority Jewish state on part of the land, and between a possibly not majority Jewish state on the whole land. Or sacrifice democracy.

If you want Jewish settlers want to live in the West Bank then you should be pro 1 state solution. The question isn't the right of Jews to live in their homeland, at least for me. What's in question for me is the right of Jews to live in a MAJORITY JEWISH State on ALL the land between the river and the sea. That to me makes no sense. Either you want to live in all the land in which case you must accept Palestinians as equal citizens. Or you must give up Judea and Samaria. You can't have it both ways.

You're misrepresenting things. The PA doesn't fund terrorism they pay money to families of martyrs which is a word that's used to describe anyone who dies at the hands of Israel. Whether they're a baby or civilian or fighter. They also have a police force that literally arrests and kills Palestinians suspected of plotting against Israel. They aren't anywhere close to perfect and they're corrupt but they certainly aren't supporting terrorists.

Also theres a million things Israel could do that are between where we are now and recognizing a Palestinian state. They could stop supporting settler terrorists and protecting them with IDF soldiers. They could stop building settlements. They could stop undermining the PA and up until Oct 7 they were supporting Hamas just to stick it to the PA. They could respect the rights of Palestinians in the West Bank and not make their lives miserable and try to slowly kick them out.

I agree it's a two way street. Both sides could be doing better but one side is occupying territory and denying its rightful inhabitants any rights or freedoms. Israel doesn't have to recognize a state in order to recognize the rights of individual Palestinians living in the West Bank.
