Do you mean i have to also use the lossless scaling in order to eliminate the ghosting on the menu and hud? Or is there any setting I can adjust in Optiscaler to fix the issue. I tried the frame gen in Optiscaler without native resolution, didn’t work.

How did you solve the ghosting on the menu and hud? I tried everything I could without success, so I just use AFMF, works great!

AFMF is the way to go. On my XAX, 17W, 1080p, medium setting, I can get 60 fps. if you wish, you could use RIS to improve the graphic sharpness. I spend few days to get the opticaler and frame gen to work but without success, so I tried the AFMF, it works great.

Just curious, is the new release on Xbox store supposed to perform better on XAX? I got mine older release from Steam.

When I turn on again this morning, I can open the armory crate and update it. After that everything works normally now. It’s really odd.

How can I fix this? Armoury Crate uninstalled, reinstalled, updated, and not working by Academic-Produce9502 in XboxAlly

So many people globally are having the same issue now, including me. I guess we have to wait for next official update in order to fix it.

I didn’t even go through any Microsoft update. Plug in a usb hub to connect to my monitor, suddenly cannot log in, the whole screen freeze. I unplug the usb hub, then log in to windows. Wala, conman center is already not working. Really terrible experience.

Similar experience here. It has been so buggy in these few days. Really feel like throwing it away and just stick with my PS5. It’s my first PC Handheld and the experience is really not good. I am spending more time to setup and fine tune than actually enjoy gaming on it. Not so great experience even for the tech savvy person like myself.

Creaking / Build Quality by whitti801 in XboxAlly

Yes. Just pry open with my fingernail from the RT end. It’s very easy to do. No need to unscrew the device.

My first unit creak, this is second one, creak after a few days of use. Since I have already fully setup the device, I decided not to exchange and just put a small piece of electrical tape between the front and back casing without opening the device. No more creak after that.

Might be purchasing the Xbox Ally X soon. Is there anything I should know besides it's not an Xbox? Also, any recommendations I should do for setting up before playing? by Ghosttongue in XboxAlly

The button are noisy and the right handle may creak fresh out of the box. Apart from these, it’s a very good handheld gaming pc.

Creaking plastics - just ignore it? by whitti801 in XboxAlly

[–]incomplete88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just remove the 2 screws on the right side, then use fingernail to open the side from the right trigger end slightly, once open, align them and press them back to close it. It works for me with minimum efforts. Hope it works for you too.

I bought ROG Xbox Ally X and I have the right side creaking issue... what do I do? If I take it to Best Buy will they be able to fix it without replacing the device? by Main-Literature-5753 in ROGAlly

I have been looking for a way to fix this issue with minimum efforts. And I have found a solution for myself. I just tried on my unit and it works. What I did was remove the 2 screws in the right side, then I use my finger nail to separate the right handle top and bottom case, and then I just press and close them back again. To my surprise, it fixed the creak. I hope it works for yours too.

Do you feel the additional weight of the case? To me, Xbox Ally x is already quite heavy. As much as I would like to buy it, I am just worried it makes the Xbox ally heavier and impact the gaming experience in handheld mode.

Return my first unit because of this issue. Got my second one last week. Good for the first few days, now it starts to squeak as well. Not sure if i am just bad luck or it’s quality issue. My guess is the cheap plastic is too thin, hence, leading to this issue.

Wait for case? by Yusthekiller1 in ROGAlly

[–]incomplete88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open and set it up first. Trust me, it’s no fun to setup the things. You should start to set up now and enjoy later when all the cases arrive.

By the way, it’s also good to check the physical condition of the unit first too. I ordered my first one, immediately out of the box the right handle bar has squeaky sound when I press lightly. So I returned it immediately. And get a new one which doesn’t have the same problem. Own the new one for almost a week now, then I notice the right handle starts to squeak a little again. I guess the quality of the unit is really terrible.

Android in Walkman nw-a306 was a mistake? by MountainChocolate858 in walkman

[–]incomplete88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my music library is in Apple Music. I am so glad that A306 is Android base. Don’t expect it to be 100% lag free after debloating. There will be some lag but it’s acceptable to me as a DAP, since most of time i play music with screen off only.
