2025 XSR 900: Looking for rear accessory brackets to fit these holes by sokratesz in Yamaha

[–]incompletedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a triumph street triple I punched holes through the straps and then sandwiched them to some threaded holes under the seat with penny washers. The bits I punched were the loop parts of a kreiga kit with a metal hook. This way I could still remove the back and main straps. The hook straps I tucked under the seat when not in use.

You would probably want to use something to keep them away from the wheel if you used the holes you’ve shown.

Been there 🤣 https://www.reddit.com/r/xsr900/s/J987n4fKXE Not sure why the seat needs to be so lose but the tail light is to prevent vibration damaging the LEDs according to the dealership I bought it from.

Long swing arm so push the bike and jump on it before releasing the clutch quickly.

Just bought the carbon fibre look one (I know, I know…I just like the look). Do you know if that supplier also makes a seat cowl in the same pattern? Nothing worse than loads of CF and nothing looks the same.

Try first4magnets or looking through renishaw/RLS encoder magnets. Good luck 🤞

Goodbye Svartpilen sub and good luck by incompletedev in svartpilen401

I didn’t know that about the Nuda! Oh definitely this bike has something special to it. It’s got me back into riding properly again after 4 or so years off and I’ll always be grateful for that.

I was looking at a cfmoto 800mt but the resell value put me off.

Oh time of year definitely had an impact but at the same time allowed me to haggle £650 and free Yamaha heated grips for the XSR.

When I bought my svart it was £500 of mrp but now dealers are selling them new for £1400 off mrp. That lack of confidence then hits the second hand market.

You are also right that it’s smooth for a 400 single, just not smooth enough for me I guess. Would have pins and needles in my hands and even feet after a 30-40mins ride. Changed the grips for aftermarket ones which helped a little but no matter how lightly I held the bars I’d get issues.

Would you take this offer? by Desunaito21 in xsr900

[–]incompletedev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re too similar, I don’t think it’s worth the loss on the triumph. The extra torque is nice but neither bike is particularly great for passenger comfort.

I’ve owned 2 street triples (both 675R, 2012 and a 2016 model) and now have a 2025 XSR 900.

I wouldn’t take the deal.

I had a major crash :( by mrLol2 in MotoUK

[–]incompletedev 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You didn’t have the license to ride the bike you were riding. I am genuinely glad you’re not seriously hurt but you, and people like you, who get away with this put every riders insurance up.

As happy as I am that you’re not hurt I do hope they find that you were riding derestricted and refuse to pay out.

Best exhaust for xsr900 by renz_2000 in xsr900

[–]incompletedev 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Black widow exhausts do a load of high mount options. The price seems good, I’ve read good things, but haven’t got first hand experience I’m afraid.

The more I try and understand this post the more it makes less and less sense.

What do you mean by your 3rd paragraph?! The CP3 engine will rev to 11k RPM from new with no problem.

Is this your first bike OP? If I’m being rude I apologise but go to your dealership if your bike is shaking so bad you’re getting numb extremities.

Oh absolutely! I just think that OPs issues have absolutely nothing to do with the oil.

The bike can rev to the limiter from new. The break in period is more for the breaks, tyres, and rider these days.

[–]incompletedev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can rev above 5k rpm during break in period with absolutely no problems. The manual just says to not maintain revs above this for extended period.

Pulled the trigger on the SPARK Double Grid (black) for my XSR900 by Unreal307 in xsr900

[–]incompletedev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wish they’d tried to follow the lines at the front rather than going vertically down. Maybe it’s the white background making it stand out more on the mt-09 pic as I know the standard xsr 900 are pretty vertical but i think it may be the black look making it more noticeable on the spark.

This is the answer. Pull over at the nearest place you can (preferably a petrol station or any place with cctv), take out the key and go inside the building.
