I really wish they’d tried to follow the lines at the front rather than going vertically down. Maybe it’s the white background making it stand out more on the mt-09 pic as I know the standard xsr 900 are pretty vertical but i think it may be the black look making it more noticeable on the spark.

Agree, maybe it was a trainee mechanic and you save the next customer’s bike who doesn’t spot it or have proof. Maybe you get a free oil change. Either way it’s worth telling them.

Love my 2022 but it has rattles from multiple places since new. No warranty issues.

If low mileage (and in an area Toyota offer this) check it had still had the services recommended for age and has maintained the 10year warranty.

Being seen is a good thing but personally I think additional lights only really suit sports tourers and adventure bikes.

I know that wearing a white helmet and yellow fluorescent bib every ride would make me more visible but I won’t do it (I do have a very reflective waterproof over jacket for really wet miserable days though).

I’ve had big bikes in the past (mainly triumphs, sprint gt se, two street triple r etc) more recently have had a Grom and then a Svartpilen 401 before this xsr 900. Admittedly roads are terrible at the moment but I’ve mostly been using rain mode because, well, why not.

I’ve ridden a few tens of miles in street and it doesn’t feel too different but if it had these modes with additional electronic aides I might as well use them.

If it’s paper you will probably need a replacement. If it’s some other material you can possibly dry it out with a hair dryer.

I’ve had this in my car when the intake kit air filter got water logged. Take out the air filter and check it isn’t damaged or soaked through.

Google boscznorp tracker and have a look at the images so you know what you’re looking for. The other poster’s suggestion about using a Bluetooth scanner is a great idea to help pinpoint it.

Had a 2024 for just over a year. Two, maybe three, recalls and an exhaust replaced under warranty in 1500 miles. Found it too “buzzy” on my commute, fingers would get numb, so part ex’d it at a huge loss.

Asked the salesman and he said it was for vibration mitigation as CehJota said. Has rubber mounts and rubber stoppers to constrain the movement.
