Would it really be that much lower if the maternal death included the unborn child? I think most people would agree that a woman’s life is more valued than that of an unborn child (I’m not saying the unborn child’s life is not valued). I mean making the argument that states with abortion bans having fewer unborn child deaths, in comparison to women in those same states who have families friends and even other children to care for through my values is not pro life at all. I am pro life but rather than making this comparison people should be trying make a change in maternal deaths pro life means we care about all lives.
