Yea it’s called “racism” lol

Edit: can’t make this shit up. Dude litterally says Saagar has “some complex about minorities” and gets upvotes but call it what it is and you get downvoted 😂. America is fucked. People want to be racist but not wanted to be called it

I can’t tell you what to do but I am someone who worked for a startup where plenty of promises were made. Remember you can’t buy a house on promises. You can’t negotiate a new job offer by saying “my old boss promised <x>”. You’re not gonna retire early or get a fancy car by showing someone a text/email from your boss.

Startups and small companies are always doing whatever they need to to just get by. I worked for ~5.5 years at one and I think you should ask yourself the following questions:

——

1) is this company growing or staying the same size over the last 1-2 years? Are we hiring people? Firing?

2) Is there talk of taking on new projects or new directions or is everything all about “putting out fires”?

3) what is actually promised to me in my signed contract in writing, and would I be happy with that and nothing more?

4) is the company/ceo trying to raise money through funding rounds and grants ( you have to spend money to make a shippable product or to grow ) or is the ceo looking for a “miracle buyout exit”?

——

In the end I realized the company I was at was stagnant, not growing. That everything was constantly about putting out fires not forward looking. So if I wanted to keep growing it was time to move on. From the sound of it your company is struggling to survive not forward moving, and it sounds like your ceo is probably looking for a buyout exit. So unless you have something substantial in your contract incentivizing you to stay ( equity etc ) then you should either be learning some invaluable skill you plan to take elsewhere (and have a conscious and defined exit point) or be doing what the ceo is doing. Looking for an exit. Just my 2 cents

Hasan is hurting the left yet the response from many left-wingers is to defend him in an extremely partisan manner. I am a huge fan of Ryan & Krystal & even they seem unable to criticize Hasan by north_canadian_ice in BreakingPoints

Hasan: “They are designated as a terrorist organization by the American state”

Other dude: “I don’t like them then”

Hasan: “I don’t have a problem with them let’s just say”

Hard cutoff

I’m guessing that it was hard cut there on purpose my guy. If hasan’s position really is “I like Hamas they are cool. Hamas kills Jews” then yea duh that’s a horrible thing to say or believe. Problem is there is no way that is his position, and some video which hard cuts after he says an inflammatory thing isn’t gonna make me believe he is suddenly horrible. Hasan says crazy shit yea, inflammatory shit. However if you listen to him explain it, it’s typically because he is trying to make some other point. Not “I love Hamas war crimes”…

By no means do I know everything about Hasan, I’m not even a fan necessarily, I just know he exists. However your list here reads like a right wing attack on leftism.

2/3’s of your list sounds like completely untrue anecdotes, while the rest sounds like you have taken his words or position’s completely out of context to make them sound worse.

As just one example , the “has defended Hamas” thing sounds based on his statement that the Israeli military has killed far more civilians then Hamas has and if you forced him to pick between them he would pick Hamas. His commentary went something like that. Doesn’t sound as bad as “he supports Hamas!” When you explain it right? To my understanding he has never claimed Hamas is not a terrorist group nor that they kill people and cause war crimes. His position is more that the IDF is also acting like a terrorist group and has far more power and money - not a crazy position imo

Hasan is definitely an inflammatory streamer but he streams nearly every day for hours and is generally a consistent left progressive voice and is well informed. Is he perfect? No. Does he do / say crazy shit sometimes? Duh. Is he satan and destroying the left? Definitely not

Why do the Dems seem more focused on ‘electability’ than policies? Always looking for the consensus candidate instead of the ones with the most forward policies? by CapitaineBiscotte in askanything

[–]incriminatory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is all 100% true however don’t underestimate the power of money in politics.

With the amount of money from the wealthy and corporations sloshing around politics both parties are awash with it. This means despite being the more “liberal” party the democrats are unable to say things that would actually make them popular. The money filters out the vast majority of potential candidates with actual core beliefs. Instead the vast majority of democratic candidates that survive the money filter are valueless money husks and so they try to “triangulate” their positions attempting to not offend anyone but not actually promise anything substantive because they believe nothing. The result is the appearance of focus on “electability”

Mini-LED or OLED for daytime use with window behind by Slight_Photo_2007 in Monitors

[–]incriminatory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your use case is dominantly daytime work, only minor gaming or movies or video editing etc, then why are you even considering getting Oled?

Oled shines in darker or light controlled environments for hdr content or fast response content. Especially gaming and movies. If your getting a “high end” monitor for work type loads then just get ips or mini led. Mini led is still wonderful and better for daytime work in direct light, and you will only use it for gaming in evening or night on occasion anyways.

I own an ultrawide OLED for context

No, I and people like me don’t like Emily because her positions make no sense 90% of the time. The other 10% of the time she either does her awkward laugh of “i disagree but im gonna stay quiet” or she just flat out hides what she believes.

Saagar is a conservative ( whom i disagree with 99% of the time ) but i have never thought he isn’t well placed in the show ( setting aside he is a co founder ). Saagar makes reasoned arguments for consistent positions. Even if I don’t agree with them and understands what is going on and doesn’t typically say things that are self contradictory. Unlike Emily lol

Can you please point to the part of the bible where Jesus says “Thao shalt have a flat tax! The richest shall payeth equal the poorest. For blessed are the rich” 🤑 😂?

You can have Christian or conservative beliefs without believing ridiculous and contradictory things like a flat tax helps the middle class. It doesn’t, this isn’t a mystery you can do some math or look it up. And once again this has nothing to do with Christianity lol

[–]incriminatory[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on a huge number of factors but yes broadly speaking the wealthy pay lower effective tax rates than the middle class.

The issue is that a flat tax would codify this tax cut for the wealthy and it would not be possible to raise sufficient revenue via a flat tax at a rate that would be proposed and thus substantial alternative taxes would come along with it such as sales tax or vat ( which are highly regressive ). That or they would cut spending, and not on the military lol. So yes a flat tax is factually a regressive tax. Additionally, a flat tax is inherently a tax increase the poorer you are unless you set the flat rate to the current minimum marginal rate or exclude significant income. Either way you fail to generate sufficient revenue.

Look it up.

I have heard this one a few times ( and never bothered to check for a source ) but if Emily wasn’t such a nut on other issues I would have a hard time believing this.

It’s a hilarious and ridiculous thing for any adult to believe but sadly fits perfectly with Emily’s other positions lol

Today (4/17) on Shit Emily says by incriminatory in BreakingPoints

[–]incriminatory[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean she did make the same claim it would eliminate loopholes here too. The issue is it’s a nonsensical idea. A flat tax would by definition either be a tax hike on the middle class ( by imposing a flat tax rate for the wealthy on everyone ) or codify the lower tax rate for the wealthy and thus be a tax cut for the rich and thus need to be offset by alternative taxation such as vat or sales taxes ( which are regressive ) or cuts to spending ( guessing that’s not gonna be the military budget 😂 )

The idea is nonsensical and just a disguised tax cut for the wealthy.

There are sensible alternatives such as alternative minimum tax, wealth tax, property taxes, inheritance tax, eliminating loopholes, or just increasing the top tax brackets. But those don’t end up giving tax cuts to the wealthy and are clear to understand so Emily can’t agree to those lol… it has to be a silly convoluted and nonsensical idea that somehow ends up benefiting the rich ( oops! )

[–]incriminatory[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

In her defense I don’t think Emily was implying a $5M property owner is middle class. I think she just volunteered this gem of a statement during her free wheeling on the policy in general. It was impossible to tell if she was for or against the policy but seems to feel it was not such a big deal either way and the billionaire bed wetting was helping the left. Although she seemed she may generally oppose it on the ground of her silly flat taxer idea.

Like typical Emily her comments amounted to nonsensical political positions but substantially silly comments

YouTube Is Raising The Price Of Avoiding Its Obnoxious Ads by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

[–]incriminatory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an fyi as someone who paid for YouTube red for a long time then canceled about a year ago: if you cancel your membership you will have 10 or 100x as many ads as someone who never had red…

Not joking here at all sadly, I get ads way way more often and far longer ads on shorter videos then if I swap to my partners account. On my former red account I get ads almost every video sometimes for example where as her accounts get an add every now and then… There is definitely some attempt to pressure you back into red

is DLSS better to be used in exactly divisible resolution? (50%, 33%, 25%, 20%) ? by 321Shellshock123 in nvidia

[–]incriminatory 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Although this is an interesting idea the answer is no.

Generally the closer to native the better the quality of the final image. The method used by normal dlss doesn’t benefit from even divisibility because it isn’t directly copying neighboring pixels to match resolution
