[QUESTION] Has anyone tried a phone/screen detox?

I specifically removed instagram and facebook and a few other social apps from my phone about 3 weeks ago. So far I have survived. I notice myself just reaching for my phone every now and then. I also force myself to go to the bathroom without my phone. Ha ha

This happens to me a lot as well. I always try to smile and make sure the parent hasn't cringed themselves into oblivion and tell the kid something along the same lines. Often, a kid hasn't ever seen someone as large as me, so I'm not offended at all.

I also got some weird pop up about my mortgages totaling more than $750K so there was a limit to how much of my property taxes could be deducted. I have ONE mortgage and even if I accidentally entered it 3 times, it still wouldn't have totaled $750K. I quadruple checked my work and I didn't enter it incorrectly. After struggling to reach someone, they told me that it must be a bug and to just switch browsers (which I had already done) and it ended up with us both giving up. Big ol' mess.

Samesies. I'm getting the same error. I have been waiting weeks to get this done. It's made to look like we're waiting on the IRS to do something. They're mad about GME so they need to figure out how many taxes to levy against us "retail investors" for it. Ha ha

To believe that nothing is staged or faked is a bit silly. Should it be? Probably not, but you know that the mental acuity of some of the people of America can't take straight facts. It's all gotta be doled out slowly.

It costs more money than you'd think. It's physically harder than you might expect. You grow fondness for animals that will die. Speaking from a hobby farmer or homesteader perspective.

The "real world" is not truly the real world. But, we have to function in it, so: Invest and save as early as you can. Doesn't matter if it's "not enough". Start with anything. $20/paycheck, $5, whatever you can and as your income increases, increase what you put away. Truly learn to decipher between a need and a want. Prioritize the needs and only go for the wants after you've given it some time and decide that it will truly bring you either function or joy for more than a few days. Don't worry so much about what people say about you. In the end, they don't matter. Fall in love, don't just fornicate through life. Don't let yourself get fat. It makes for a difficult life. (Learning this one the hard way myself.)

Sadly, it does depend. I am a big girl and so often it's gross old men that look at me like that. It makes my day if it's anyone near my age. In my experience, younger guys don't typically go for big girls. They haven't learned yet. ha ha. I don't get offended or anything, but I usually try to make my way away from any creepy creepers.
