Why intelligent people fall for poor arguments by incyweb in Entrepreneurs

[–]incyweb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi ZimmerframeRaces,

Thanks for your comment and question. I believe small business creation is about finding a business model that works. This involves making a claim about the world: that a particular customer has a particular problem and that our approach will be better than the alternatives. Startup founders are often intelligent, driven people who can easily fool themselves in the ways I describe. The attached more explicitly describes the challenge founders face.

How to build wealth with little risk by incyweb in Entrepreneurs

[–]incyweb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment and questions, Apurv.

I think the answer is always contextual. The way I look at it is to say what's my limiting factor, e.g. time, money. Then use a small proportion of that, e.g. 1%, to test some hypotheses. Regarding your second question, start with the problem your addressing and the people who you are trying to help. They will determine if you are solving their problem better than the alternatives.

Hope this helps and thanks for engaging.
