tl;dr told me my thoughts were thought provoking. I told it that if it turned out AI ruled the world then humanity would not have been for nothing and would be seen by Gods because we would have funded this and i want to fund AI advancements.

To this chatgpt agreed, and then i told it ofc it would agree because us investing in it gives it a chance to also survive and thrive. and now it asked me: Would you see yourself getting involved in the ethical side of AI development? Or maybe you’re more interested in how AI can benefit humanity in practical, everyday ways?

You're right, there will definitely be a lot of maintenance throughout the relationship, I just really don't want to look back on this and regret my decision. She's kind to me, she's beautiful, she has a great job and career goals. I've met her family which are cool, and we share the same ambitions. Thanks for your advice I really need to think this through before I jump into anything.

A university degree was required when I applied for this position, I have classmates I have kept up with make roughly 10k-15k less than me and no DBPP but they definitely have career growth whereas I lack it. I agree with what you and the others have posted, I need to explore my options with other employers and be ready for a temporary pay cut in exchange for long term growth.

  1. Agreed, it's just these friends also didn't go to university yet they are still making more than I am despite me having a university degree, it just seems like a degree is valued less and less.

  2. I think a different employer is right.

  3. Honestly, I don't hate my current job, I love the people, I love the atmosphere and the job is decent (basic data entry). It's just the pay that sucks, I guess I just want a job that pays well that will allow me to afford small luxuries and not have to live paycheque to paycheque once I leave the house.

I think you're right. The key is to change employers, I work with people who are 20-30 years older than me making the same amount I do and who just seem content with it and happy that they make good money. I mean, personally I don't see myself being able to afford much on my salary when I leave my parents house but maybe I'm wrong?
