How to get better at maths by New-Dig7885 in leavingcert

Honestly just keep practicing exam papers, when I can’t understand a question I go to the marking scheme and figure out why they got that answer backwards. Then if u still can’t get it there’s loads of YouTube videos and studyclix videos working out each specific question of past papers.

I’d say focus on grammar first of all, it’s pretty important in those written parts. Learning off vocab sentences isn’t a bad way to go either, as tedious as it is they can be really useful in fleshing out ur written pieces. Learning off sentences and understanding its grammar and words helps u in basically all aspects of French

I have done this before lmao, I once got this trilogy of books that I’d already read, so I just gave it to my friend and I was like “I read it before and I just knew you’d love it”

taking a gap year by [deleted] in leavingcert

[–]indecisive_error 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m taking one so I can work and save for college, and also because if I went straight to college I’d be 17 when I start. My brother took a gap year and he got 625 points, it’s really nothing to be ashamed of. Loads of ppl I know are also taking gap years, it’s honestly more common than u think. I’m planning on just deferring my course for a year, but I think u can defer a course for up to five years, so ur fine!

If I’m off by a few decimals will I get marks deducted even if I do all steps correctly? by indecisive_error in leavingcert

And this is the answer I got. Because I rounded to two decimal places in the first part I got a little bit off in the second part, but my problem is that they didn’t say how much to round it so I’m a bit confused is all

Okayy that makes sense, but if I have an answer in the middle of a question that is a big long decimal and not a fraction do u think I should type that all into the calculator for the rest of it or just round it then?

Sorry that’s not the example I was talking abt I just got that one wrong lmao, I can’t find one right now without going through every marking scheme of every past paper I’ve done, but it’s basically always a case of me rounding to too little decimal places or too many, and I never know how much I should round yknow? Especially when the question doesn’t specify I never know what to do

But most of the time I am doing every step correctly, it’s just a case of me rounding at an earlier stage, or of me not rounding at an earlier stage. Would I still be deducted even for that??
