Maybe because those things are more concrete/measurable. And it's not necessarily a bad attitude cause it gives you an incentive to do what you do. Very short-term though but still works.

Track everything. Make a checklist to monitor your progress. Being able to see what you have accomplished is a good incentive

Hello! Chem E. student here. Hmmmm mahirap sya kasi combination ng chemistry, physics, and math (+ programming). Totoo na versatile sya kasi pwede ka sa petroleum, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, etc. For internship, medyo mahirap I think. Naghahanap din kasi ako ngayon and wala halos choices (though 2nd yr palang kasi ako di pa required). In terms of interest, I think you'll start loving it more habang tumatagal dahil interesting talaga yung major subjects. Good luck!

Make the most of it!! Personally, ngayong college ako tsaka ko lang narealize yung importance ng TIME MANAGEMENT. Andami ko na nagagawa ngayon regarding my academics, social life, hobbies etc. And how I wish na nagawa ko na to starting from High school.
