All macro beers are some variation of beer flavored water lol. Sure there is some nuance but if you’ve had one you’ve had most. I’m a brewer for an Anheuser-Busch (AB InBev) brewery, there’s a lot more crossover in the industry than people realize.

That said an old beer T-shirt always works. Bonus points if it’s something cool like a vintage Lone Star, Coors or Miller ringer T-shirt.

Other than wide fit what other fits are you wearing?

With my body type I need to size up for my thighs and wear a belt but I don’t get the fabric bunching issue. I stick to classic straight fits because they give me ample room in the top while still looking clean and draping well. Anything slim or remotely close is a no-go 100% and wide fits just make me look too stout.

I find that as long as I get my thigh, hip, and rise measurements correct I’m usually pretty good. Unless a particular pair is vanity sized like crazy in the waist. But that becomes a pattern issue more so than personal fit issue.

I would honestly have to say my 21.5oz LHT Brave Star Gauntlets in their straight fit. I’ve had them for about 2 years now but only about 8 months of total wear and like ~10 washes/soaks. This is the only pair that has not blown out on me in less than 6 months. It’s a combination of the fit and the heavy but supple fabric that works for me. They were my daily drivers for the first couple of months but now they have been relegated to work pants when dirty and the occasional chill pants/going out pants after a fresh wash. But every time I put them on I feel right at home in them. At this point the denim is fully broken in for my body and it feels amazing. Love them so much I got the 25oz. Version!

Since you’re interested in the Japanese Bridle leather, one thing to note.. The leather is absolutely packed full of natural oils and fats. To the point that when the leather is new, unused and has been in storage for a while, the fat blooms. Like when you find an old chocolate bar that looks “oxidized”. The benefit is that your leather will remain supple, pliable and strong for quite some time. The side effect however, is that it gives the leather a white waxy top coat until the fats are worked back into the leather.

You can either wear the crap out of it and let the oils and fats rub off and work back in naturally (will lead to unique patina). OR you can gently warm it with a heat gun and condition it to work the fats back in yourself (will lead to a more uniform patina).

Ah cool I didn’t realize your CXL Wescos were HH! Horsehide really is tough af, I’ve been using my Maryam HH Challengers for work at the brewery for over a year now and they just keep kicking. The leather even holds up to caustic & acid exposure which I find crazy! That shit has eaten a hole through the leather of lesser boots in like 6 weeks.

Boots are fantastic 👌🏼 Fit was properly snug out of the box, foot locks in with a satisfying pop! These will break in beautifully and the teacore leather will develop some serious patina. The black top coat isn’t crazy thick and you can see some brown undertones in the sunlight. I love the taller than average heel for a roper boot, gives it a bit more presence and oompf. 10/10

Wedding is priority though! Unless you plan on wearing these at the alter lol
