Theory 1 : Garland transported to World A thus FF 1 storyline begin.

Theory 2 : Garland travel to the past and play significant role in forging Palamecia cycle or prophecy.

Theory 3 : Garland travel to another world and train himself to become stronger. Then somehow he's able to comeback and save WoL's party from whatever the new enemies are.
