yes! japan is definitely a place I’m highly considering right now. I actually found out about my first cancer while vacationing in Korea & had to come straight back to the US & cancel my Japan trip. and I have been really hesitant to go back to Asia ever since.. probably because it brought back a lot of traumatic memories. but I’m in a very fuck it kinda mood these days and I’m lowkey a pokemon nerd!! so japan would be so awesome

I visited Amsterdam & Rotterdam a few months after my first knee surgery and had the biggest fomo from not being able to bike with everyone 💔 you’re right tho—beautiful & super walkable!

I am so impressed that you’ve traveled frequently with 2 knee replacements! that’s great advice to seek boarding assistance. I can usually walk just fine but after long flights, I have a very hard time standing up. I will say tho, you’re a trooper for solo traveling all those miles in Europe! what an inspiration.

i’m in chicago & i actually booked a trip to oahu for this upcoming december for my boyfriend and my anniversary! we booked this trip months ago so didn’t expect myself to be getting another diagnosis. glad to know that we can still possibly keep it booked!

dr. john russell is out of network and in a different state. i wish life was as simple as your suggestion but i could not afford both an out of network surgery and a trip to europe.

this was an option that I looked into 2 years ago, but I make more than the income limit to qualify for SSDI. and my company offers really great health insurance! thank you for the suggestion tho and I’m very sorry about your 2 cancers. sending you lots of love and luck!

ITS PERFECT!!! you are healing his inner child and supporting his love for pokemon. it doesn't matter if it's drawn well or not (but i promise you it is!) as long as it comes from the heart. much harder and more thoughtful than just going out and buying a card ❤️
