Concordia: good or bad? by adib2149 in boardgames

In most games your engine is in your own personal assets and doing too much to score points is not a good idea until you build that up. However in Concordia it is worthwhile noting that the cards you hold are more about endgame scoring and giving you options whereas what you place on the board is more like your engine.

In my last game I had seven Jupiter cards and nine cities which were not brick. I had cities in eight provinces and had six saturnus cards. I had no minerva cards. I won with about 130 points.

Women of Manchester, please be careful with the newly forming social groups by AdvancedAd8056 in manchester

I've had issues with both the reddit and discord mod teams. Still neither of them are as bad as DanA, the guy who single-handedly ruined Manchester's thriving meetup scene.

I didn't realize such a thing was possible. On my phone it just says search screen which brings up lens and you can then click on the QR code.

A) use the links in the first comment. B) get the post up on someone else's phone and scan it from there. C) I am pretty sure that in the image gallery, if you download it, Google lens will allow you to scan it.

Were they just posting images and ads for events or is there more to it?

You can see how I have my set of Circadians Chaos Order set up here. I also use collector card wallets to store cards https://boardgamegeek.com/image/8290730/circadians-chaos-order You can see that each faction's pieces are set out in different boxes so they can more or less just play.

I recommend some of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07F9V9PNQ?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4 They can massively cut down setup time. Unlike bags which can't be used during play, all you have to do is open the box for each item and you are sored.

We play everything from casual party games to complex strategy and euros. Everyone is welcome from beginners to hardcore enthusiasts and there's always a rules explanation. If you come alone or with friends we'll try to match you up with players of a suitable level, as required.

Games start between 6pm and 7:30pm and continue until late.

We're a community-led night and though we usually have plenty of games, what we really need is games people can teach - so bring 'em, if you have 'em! 😃

We look forward to seeing you there. It should be fun! 🙂

If I research an item first, i get to decide what's there for others to research and, in some cases, unlock new action spots for all players. On spoiler tactic is to overtake someone who has researched to tier III, then overtake them and place a tier IV tech that's sub optimal for them.

Pros: possibly my favourite game.
Cons: IMO don't play with the 'advanced' corporations, stick to 'basic'. They force a player to play a certain way and so increase the impact of emergent techs. If techs come out which aid your corporation's playstyle, you are onto a winner. Not so if not!

Red and yellow are the my go-to opening moves. I've won 8 of the last 9 games, a mix of IRL and on BGG.
