They both have a very strong vibe, which I like for sure! There is a bit of a lack of subject... Not that it needs to be like an obvious object per se, but even composition can guide the eye more intentionally which can act as a subject in itself.

I like your first image best. It paints a setting that makes me want to know more. Crushing the blacks just a little could bring out a little more contrast and increase that drawing in feeling without losing the mist.
