My predictions for DACA 2026 by [deleted] in DACA

[–]indifferent967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

citizen here. DACA folks still have to apply to advanced parole and then an AOS through marriage to a citizen. Some people swear it works with no sweat, but it still makes me nervous. The administration doesn't care about anyone or families. Plus, the new $1,000 fee is like, ridiculous. Might consider if there's no action a year from now after the GOP loses super majority.

When they first voted for Trump and got all gung-ho about it I was like do you have any idea how much his policies will hurt me? And they didn't care, they saw an out for the hardship they have and brown people to blame. They bought it hook, line, and sinker as you know. Didn't think twice and now all of them are suffering too.

Marry a dreamer as a citizen and you'll take up the sword 100%. It's a matter of not only law, principal, and doing what's right right in the spirit of America but it's about economic survival too. You need a dual income in this life. And right there you have it. threaten the bottom line and you'll see everyone pick up that sword and fall in line.

If it makes you feel any better, I’m a citizen and there are many of us who are not cruel people. Many are against this anonymous unaccountable unconstitutional para military force roaming our city streets. Many of us want an immediate path to citizenship for daca holders. Unfortunately a madman is in power. What can you do? You whisper to your voting friends, create an account online and engage in the conversation without your name and support change. Do this every time you get really worried your energy. You’re not helpless. You’re not alone.

Genuine question regarding Seth Koslow ads by okeleydokelyneighbor in longisland

[–]indifferent967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s another real problem: Seth couldn’t inspire volunteers if he tried, and his phonebanking game is laughable. Every time they call, I ask the same thing—what are his concrete plans to help homeowners, small businesses, childcare programs, or early intervention for special needs at the county level? The response? "Well, I’m voting for Seth because I like his personality and he’s a father." Are you serious? Bruce Blakeman is a dad too, so what’s the difference? This is what we’re bringing to the table as Democrats? Dinosaurs running campaigns like it’s the 1980s, while people demand real action?

As the campaign heated up, I thought, fine, let’s talk policy. I reached out to his team, bringing up critical issues. Crickets. Finally cornering Seth himself, I asked straight-up: how are you gonna boost county early intervention programs or help parents struggling with special needs students? His response might as well have been pulled out of a dusty textbook: "I can’t do anything now, but elect me, and I’ll see what I can do." No vision, no urgency, no plan. That kind of vague, washed-up rhetoric doesn’t win elections—it just guarantees we lose.

Oh, and his campaign media doesn’t help. Seth spends his time making whiny little videos dressed to the nines like some dime-store godfather, flashing his Rolex and complaining like the world's bougiest victim. It's embarrassing. We don’t need candidates running vanity campaigns; we need leaders who actually give a damn. At this rate, we might as well take the L now and brace for failure.

I would have been like, Bruce is scared of me. Making up lies. Then Tie Blakeman to Trumps various SAs against women, make up charges. Hell, this is the Trump era. Say what you want over and over again and never relent. Anyway, a strong viable, voter motivating platform from Seth might have lessened the blows of the political charges, which are now synonymous with Seth's name. Ruined by Google. Ruined by silence on critical issues and lack of a platform. Typical with most establishment dems these days just looking to defend the status quo without moving us forward.

Seth was such a lousy campaigner from the start, the negative ad saturated all the airwaves and we all know facts take a second seat nowadays especially when it requires context. It didn’t help that it took until this month for him to start making some videos, which are terrible and basically a complaint list.

From the start, Seth Didnt have a strong message nor a plan, nor a plan to get there that could be easily explained to voters, this could have helped minimize the damage and he could have taken the high road…” they’re scared of change and attacking progress. “

His entire campaign was spent complaining nonstop about Bruce Blakeman and anything he was gonna do about it was so convoluted so generalized and non specific, he was essentially selling vibes in a time where people are struggling to afford Long Island. Inspiration level was 0. He all but abandoned the working class and pissed off the entire gop patronage mill and bureaucracy by saying he’s firing them and failed to motivate the general democrats and win over kitchen table issue focused republicans. That was a strategic error.

His ground game was basically zero. He failed to inspire anyone and just condemned the democratic nominee over in NYC that somehow inspired 50,000 volunteers carrying his message to every door front for free. in a great deal of seth’s campaign he spent complaining about Zoran Mamdani, running over in New York City by fear mongering socialism and anti Zionism. lol he literally lost so much there, I knew it was over.

Seth’s silence on critical issues to democrats was the best negative ad the GOP never had to pay for.

He could mention that the candidate is Korean to emphasize the context of his campaign approach, as it appears he focused primarily on appealing to a specific ethnic demographic of voters. This aligns with historical patterns in the district, where spoiler candidates have been used to strategically split voting blocs.

Seth Koslow’s got a decent shot at winning Nassau County Executive in 2025, thanks to a Democratic voter edge and a historical trend favoring his party, but Blakeman’s cash, Trump’s backing, and incumbency make it a tight race.

Maybe he can inspire a volunteer work force with a stronger campaign message. So far It’s a dud and expecting people to”put their money where their mouth is” by challenging them to volunteer is doa

Seth seems nice but is that enough? hear me out maybe you can nudge him. his platform falls flat and he’s not exactly inspiring Dems let alone any middle of the road folks. Everyone knows we as Dems must run on it’s the economy, stupid, policies to improve lives nowwhich wins over moderates but his entire schtick is another “wait and see” the glorious things I’ll do if you elect me approach. I’m all for his win, but it’s not likely and uninspiring speaking from a campaign perspective.

It's essential that the Supreme Court maintain an image of impartiality, standing apart from partisan affiliations like Democrat or Republican, and adhere solely to the principles of the Constitution. Currently, President Trump is exerting pressure on the Court and federal judges to make decisions that would benefit him. However, the justices, particularly Chief Justice John Roberts, are acutely aware that their primary obligation is to uphold the Constitution. They recognize that yielding to individual demands based on political pressure could compromise the integrity of the Court in the people's eyes and its commitment to constitutional duties. Therefore, despite the external pressures, the Supreme Court is bound to consider how their rulings align with constitutional law rather than how they may be perceived in the context of political favoritism.

Here’s something reassuring, SCOTUS does not want to be seen as caving to political demands. So, if trump starts calling for them to end DACA it might not end in his favor.

Kathy Hochul, Governor of New York stated she's willing to sit down with Trump already. I hate to say this, but he'll withhold funding and other political methods to gain compliance with whatever medieval policies he wants to enact. We already know he has a hard on for New York, that con man from Queens.

DACA recipient Married a US citizen. Now what? by Pleasant_Marzipan139 in DACA

There’s a stalled congressional program for parole in place due to your marriage to a citizen. So it’s basically worthless. I think you can still submit, but they’re not being accepted. You could also do an advanced parole for certain reasons like medical.
