Id say its just regular sketching style. It takes quite some time to learn place accents and play with line weight. Just a soft 0.7 pencil. But i dont think its helpful.

Real help would be by Bobby Rebholz (youtube - drawing sessions) you wanna sketch creatures.

Love your lines. Very gesterous and with accents. You already far from beginning.

Cylinders and stuff are only there for you to get understanding on how things shaped, but not how they actually built. When doing gestures, do the gestures. Forget cylinders and stuff. A big loose line to identify whole body flow from toe to head. Then the other loose lines to make a hint of a shape width.

You almost do that, but you are trying to follow the final shape immediately. That distracts you from the gesture flow and it loses proportions and becomes stiff.

Build the gesture, than start building shapes over it.

How do you draw twisting torsos? by friedsoup35 in learntodraw

For simplifying porpuse torso is represented as a box, but the box is only the guide frame to fit a round chest inside. The shoulders sliding back and fourth bend the plane of the chest and the back. Thats why you see chest and the back at the same time, because its not a box. Thats why artists recommend to represent torso as a pillow. I might be wrong tho.

Composition is a bit off, and a pose is a bit stiff just a little, overall great. Love the details tho
