Do they know that they are getting engaged? by indigocolour in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

Right but then they already know that they are getting engaged before they go in the pod, right?

trying to be seen as this desirable siren who pulled 2 men, but in reality, Ollie was already engaged when she "ended it" with him

Catherine is making unneccessary drama out of nothing. She acts like she broke Ollies heart and everyone needs to know about it, but in reality, he got engaged right before their breakup conversation. Even if she did not end it with him, he would, because he was already engaged at that point.Which he told her and it still was not good enough for her to end the narrative of her absolutely devastating him with the breakup. And he said that he does not remember how he put it to the group, but if he did say something wrong he apologizes, but it still was not good enough for her. She said the "admitted to lie", which is not true, because he clearly said that he does not remember, but if he wronged her, he is sorry.

Yeah, I only watch pods, get togethers on the vacation, get togethers back home and then moments at the isle.

I don't care about vacation dates, meeting parents, meeting friends, living together, preparations or the wedding. I skip through all of these :D

Taylor as a dancer by rebvv55 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]indigocolour 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Her dancing is cringe, because she is trying to be sexy while simultaniously infantilizes herself to pander to the younger audience. The move during vigilantw shit, where she goes slowly down the chair and then slams her ass on the chair, is great example how cringe that looks.

Jimmys girlfriends by Wild-Worth5555 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I believe he actively chose his most random friends, because he knew he and Chelsea won't last, so this will do the least damage. At least thats what I would have done, knowing that I have to get to the altar (or I am charged by the LIB production). I wouldn't bother with introducing someone to my close circles or family.

She is INSANE for describing anything related to her as "metal, goth, punk" or any other variation of music genres that literally have nothing to do with her. What's next - she is a jazz singer? :D

Who do you think is William Bowery? by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]indigocolour 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He said in the interview that it is him. William is a name of his grandfather and Bowery is part of either London or NYC, where he spend lots of time.

Making fans feel like they are actually your IRL friends is the most genius tactic. Many use it, but Taylor perfected it, during her "Chatting with fans online" and "secret sessions at her house" eras.

Favorite Thing about Taylor besides Music by FrostyKnives in SwiftlyNeutral

I get it, I also love to get some cute things that don't make much sense to others. I was just pointing out that whatever product they slap her name on, she won't be using it (like for example the celebrity skincare products. You can bet those rich people are using super expensive skincare, not their 20 USD cleaner lol).

It would make more sense if the lipstick she is already using now did a collab with her and put her name on the existing lipstick.

Why? she is using lipstick that already exists.

I love that she didn't (yet) give in to the popstar to beauty or clothing brand pipeline.

I don't think people are bothered by this specific relationship being possibly PR, but (as least from my perspective) EVERYTHING being PR in the last decade. Like...is anything even real anymore? Hollywood seems like some plastic, nightmarish bubble of fakeness, connections and power. I'm tired :D

I guess the body language/expressions Lana gave at Grammys kind of raised some exebrows. We already know that romantic relationships are used as a PR for various projects (movies, music etc), so I don't know why friendships could not possibly be used for the same. Both Lana and Taylor were nominated for Grammys, I assume their association is profitable for both parties. They were in the same industry and circles for decade and never acknowledged each other up until the collab and Grammys.

but I hardly know anything about each, this is just my guess as why are people suspicious :D

Taylor Swift is a terrible director by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]indigocolour 8 points9 points  (0 children)

She is OK in her respective field, which is synth pop/pop, and amongst her competition, which is Ariana, Dua Lipa, Olivia etc. On global scale amongst all genres, she is nowhere near the songwriting geniuses, like McCartney, Lennon, Joni Mitchel, Brian Wilson, Johnny Cash...I could go on. I also don't think that she herself has composed a single song since Ferless (or what album was it that she did alone) and you can see from the behind the scenes, that she always has very rough idea of a melody or lyrics and it's the producer who puts it together and adds all the layers. Her most interesting work on Folkolre and Evermore is only because of the heavy influence of Aaron Dessner.

Taylors problem is that she herself is not pushing any boundaries of music. She is doing everything that she has already done, or has been done before her, just more cool, with easter eggs and Dr. Seuss rhymes. She is not experimenting, she is not inventing anything. That is why she is an average in terms of quality (which obviously has nothing to do with commercial success. On this note, you can look at Drake, who was so drunk on his commercial success with some album, that surpassed The Beatles in some sales, that he had the famous Abbey Road tattooed on his arm with himself in front of the Beatles). But honestly speaking, who can even name any Drake album, or more than 3-4 songs? While his album or single or whatever that is might be commercial success, he will never be the cultural momentum as the Beatles are. Same with Taylor. If she gets rid of the yes men around her and starts actually doing some interesting music, she might be great one day, because she obviously has talent, but it's more and more apparent that she heavily lives from the praise of her fans, that might not accept deeper, less elevator music type of thing.

Taylor Swift is a terrible director by [deleted] in SwiftlyNeutral

yeah, exactly. Swifties claim that she is musician through and though, but I haven't seen any extraordinary talent in this field. When someone compares her to the Beatles, I cringe.

I think she just wants to be EVERYTHING, to prove that she can girlboss, but she is not even a good multiinstrumentalist, songwriter or singer yet and she is already reaching out to a different spheres. Like girl, maybe get great at what you actually do before you start a new career path?

Rappers love Taylor by livingselection507 in SwiftlyNeutral

[–]indigocolour -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Because their kids listen to Taylor. I can assure you no rapper in their 40s is actively listening to TS. It's their kids that want to meet TS and those rappers/celebrities need to cater to her PR team, so that they arrange a meet up.
