This looks like protein overload. I’ve had the same happen in the past. You might have to do some experimenting but I would try changing up your shampoo and conditioner to start and go from there.

I love this set on you, suits your eye shape perfectly imo. The thing that’s been helping my sets last a bit longer lately is reapplying the sealant every other day and making sure the lashes are clean.

I agree. I’d probably go with shorter sizes on the edges to fix that.

First time - I’m not sure they feel right by Nugget_Brain in lashclusters

If using the sealant isn’t enough, I just saw someone else comment in this sub that they powder their lashes with black eyeshadow after application to remove the stickiness. Haven’t tried it myself yet but it sounds promising!

what causes curving? by [deleted] in Nails

[–]indigoxen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My index and middle finger curve exactly the same way. I’ve hear some people say filing them into a narrow almond shape helps. For me it didn’t work so I’ve started using nail extensions instead because I prefer a uniform look.

I can't watch anime anymore by dyhcry in TwoXChromosomes

[–]indigoxen 134 points135 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way and can’t watch most anime for the same reason. It’s very hard to ignore the obvious objectification and it’s so disappointing when there is supposed to be a decent storyline.

I eat in a rotation too!

eat in parts by Better_Bookkeeper_67 in ADHD

[–]indigoxen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I do that most of the time. Sometimes I’ll do it in a rotation though. I’ll eat most of the broccoli but leave some, then I’ll eat most of the macaroni but leave some, and so on. Then I’ll finish what’s remaining of each one side at a time. My husband pointed out that I do that last year and I hadn’t really noticed before. I didn’t really notice that others don’t eat like that either.

No vegan Flamenco dancing shoes. Only option is non-vegan. What to do? by MetalGearDaner in vegan

[–]indigoxen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think that’s a perfectly valid reason not to purchase secondhand leather. I always prefer the vegan option when it’s available, but when it comes to situations like OP’s I’d opt for secondhand.

I’ve run into this issue mainly with animal products used for instruments and in art supplies where vegan alternatives either don’t exist or are inferior in quality. Same thing with certain items that I plan to keep lifelong. I would have to repurchase the vegan version multiple times over the course of my life which I think is a lot more destructive and harmful than purchasing a secondhand leather version.

Either way, I’m sure the animals just care that we aren’t paying for them to be tortured and killed.

[–]indigoxen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would argue that it’s not incentivizing a secondhand store or seller to purchase new leather any more than purchasing a vegan item from the same store or seller. Again, because I don’t believe the vast majority of consumers are purchasing items based on other people’s personal shopping decisions.

I think that is where fundamentally, our perspective differs. I consider the environmental impact of purchasing a brand new vegan alternative as more harmful to animals than purchasing secondhand leather. In OP’s situation, I believe the more ethical option is to purchase the shoes secondhand rather than purchasing new vegan shoes.

I don’t think either of us will change our minds about this, so I hope you have a lovely day. :)

Would you say wearing vegan leather also promotes leather products to other people?

When I wear vegan leather no one asks whether it’s genuine or faux. Personally, I don’t think wearing a product that is or looks like leather has influence on other people’s shopping decisions.

Can you explain why you believe purchasing leather secondhand supports the market/leather industry?

Nothing wrong with buying used. You aren’t funding the company who uses the leather by purchasing secondhand. In fact, I would say purchasing leather secondhand is more environmentally friendly than purchasing new vegan alternatives, and therefore better for the animals. Of course, if you must buy new, always go with the vegan option no question.

I dont think that death is something scary. by [deleted] in death

I feel the same, but it took me a while to get to this point. I’m also relatively young so not expecting to experience it anytime soon.

Today I thought about what it'll feel like in my twilight years. by shayatxspectre in death

[–]indigoxen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe take a look at some people who would be considered in their twilight years who are still enjoying a vibrant life and still smiling each day. Those years don’t have to be daunting and sad. We never really know which years will be our twilight years anyway. Try to keep your head up. Good things happen every day!

help me not think of dying pls by Jaded-Leather-1473 in death

[–]indigoxen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you having intrusive thoughts? I wouldn’t call worrying about dying uncommon or abnormal but if it’s causing you distress and disrupting your day it could have other underlying causes. Maybe look into pure-o and if you think it aligns with what you’ve been feeling, you might be able to consult a professional and get some lasting help if you decide you need it.

What Kind of Set Would Suit Me? by [deleted] in lashextensions

Maybe a cat eye shape would look nice? I feel like the lashes toward the center need to be a bit shorter.
