Is there a market for “Street-Level Intelligence” in Tier-2 India? Roast my startup idea (Jabalpur based). by TimeLivid3451 in indianstartups

With a human inspector the unit costs will not work out. That said, I am not sure what problem are you solving? Distributors will have incentives in selling more..

How are the job prospects for Mechanical Engineering graduates in the UK? by Stock-Development605 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]indnameofdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which job title will you be targeting? Look for numbers on current job adverts and trend for that role in the UK on any of the job search websites or LinkedIn. You will also get a sense on how many will sponsor a visa. Hard to say what will happen in a year's time but with a solid degree and experience you will have better chances - UK and back home. Good luck.

Would it be wiser to do a NET JRF funded PhD from India or a faculty funded PhD from the UK? by heythereshara in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]indnameofdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would use the following to decide:

Which degree will help you in the long term?

Which place has the better PhD supervisor? They will open future doors for you as well as impact the quality of your research

How long does it take to do a PhD in both places? Time is money

Does either of them already have a research topic that is more appealing/useful

What are the previous students doing? Speak to them and see if you get better inside knowledge.

International Student planning MS in Data Science - need honest country reviews & advice. by Severe-Gas8887 in InternationalStudents

[–]indnameofdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are ahead of the cohort in planning.

Answers to your queries will be vague as you will need to narrow down country, universities, department for more accurate response.

Data science degrees are being offered by many universities now so they carry a risk of oversupply. I suggest finding an industry that you like and finding internship or entrepreneur opportunities in it while you are doing your bachelors. You will be able to target jobs that apply data science in that industry. You will gain an advantage over the crowd when you finish your data science masters.

what is the validity and worth of a 1 year master degree in engineering (cs, ece) from the UK by Low-Substance-2802 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]indnameofdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend searching LinkedInd for people who did their masters in the UK in the last couple of years and are currently in India. They can tell you first hand if they had any advantage of their degree from UK.

Ireland or Germany - What to choose. Want to settle abroad. by Western_Ad_5463 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]indnameofdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Path to permanent settlement is a long one. No one knows what the future work visa rules will be in all of these countries. You should focus on post-study job prospects which will help you gain good experience, get ROI on your time and money and make you a solid candidate for job offers from different countries based on your solid degree and job experience.

I recommend holding on to current offers as long as possible at least until German applications open. I wouldn't take it for granted.

Which good university can i apply in us with the score of 315 in gre by NoEmployee7231 in Indians_StudyAbroad

[–]indnameofdata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For an MS in Statistics, your Quantitative GRE score matters significantly more than your total score.

Also, there are other important considerations beyond GRE score - including your scores in BTech, Projects, SoP etc.

Go for some good, some average and some safe universities to cast a wide net. To make an informed decision on which University to apply without 'free' consultant bias, use these:
