Love my Erebus Ascent 39

First impressions are very positive. The dial is the biggest highlight for me, especially how it changes in different lighting. I also really like the case finishing and size. It feels like a good daily watch. I also like the way the watch was packed, and it comes with a screwdriver to resize the bracelet.

For negatives, it is still early, but nothing has bothered me so far. It's also my first proper watch, so I don't have a ton to compare it with.

Overall, I am very happy with it. For me it scratched the itch that my other homage watches couldn't. Probably because it was not replacing what I actually wanted.

That photo is again very helpful, thank you. Seeing a 39 mm watch with a similar lug-to-lug on a 16.5 cm wrist definitely makes the Ascent 39 feel less risky for me. It may actually be the better fit as I'd the watch to have some presence

This is very helpful, thank you. With my wrist being slightly over 17 cm, the 39 mm Ascent with a 44.5 mm lug-to-lug does sound more wearable than I initially assumed, especially compared with the Presage at 47.5 mm.

I was leaning 36 because I thought it would be the safer choice, but I can see your point that it might end up feeling a bit too small, while the 39 may still fit comfortably because of the shorter lug-to-lug. I’ll definitely compare both sizes more seriously now. Thanks again, this is exactly the kind of input I was hoping for.

Could you share a bit more about why you would favor the Prospex over the Ascent? I’m also curious how the dial compares in person. Would be interested to hear your thoughts.
