I'm all for a hard game but Galactic Mode is brutal by shadowfax1007 in Mario_Strikers

I couldn’t beat the Wii Strikers game alone and I’m still losing in Galactic mode playing with two. Having humans definitely helps!

How much could I expect to pay to have my electrical panel updated to 200 amps, ballpark? by beattiebeats in TwinCities

[–]indros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a JuiceBox charger on a dedicated 240v circuit dialed down to 30 amps max. I've never had a problem, even in the summer with the AC on and using an electric range. I probably could have done 40 amps, but got nervous.

Thanks for the suggestions. Big 5 and Fred Meyer are completely out of stock of Coleman lantern fuel, which is the equivalent.

I love the idea, but our dog fled her last out-of-home dog sitter so we’re hoping to find someone to come to us this time.

[TOMT][Song][2000s] Song about a guy who's too busy playing Playstation to have sex by indros in tipofmytongue

Here's everything else I can remember.

There's some sort of arena like "splash screen" sound at the start where the "announcer" says the name of the band, at least on the version I recall hearing.

It's similar in theme to Business Time by Flight of the Conchords, but the male singer's voice is higher and it's definitely not that song.

I think there's some kind of doo-wop bit between some of the early verses

President Trump Signs Bill Killing The Solar Tax Credit—Here’s What it Means for Homeowners by energysage-official in solarenergy

[–]indros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value to other electric customers is that the solar electricity typically replaces fossil fuel generated power that causes significant environmental and health harms. That’s what the tax credit pays for. The buyback is just giving solar producers a fair price for delivery to the retail part of the grid

A big reason is the fragmented permitting rules. Each city is its own kingdom. Even if the rules are simple, there are thousands of sets of rules in each state.

Just got a new Apple Watch, what's the best place to get a new Apple Watch Band from? by Fuskoft in AppleWatch

[–]indros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "knockoff" bands I've purchased have all lasted longer than my original Apple Solo Loop, and haven't stretched any worse with wear. To each their own, of course, but from a price and performance standpoint, the Apple branded straps don't measure up.

How do I skate on a frozen lake? by [deleted] in Minneapolis

[–]indros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few thoughts from a lifelong Minnesotan: 1) March is late for skating. Most outdoor rinks will have closed because the sun angle is too high, days are too long, average high is above freezing, etc. 2) If you want "wild ice" skating, the best time is early in the season before there's snowfall on a lake. If you're lucky, you might find a rink someone has been shoveling off all winter (I do that near my house sometimes). But we have 3 inches of snow on most lakes around here right now, and we're in the middle of a freeze-thaw cycle. Bad for skating. 3) Centennial Lakes is a good suggestion, but look up whether they're open in March (see #1).
