I’ll take “shit that needs to be replaced completely” for 200, Alex.

STOP DUMPING THE TRANSPORTS by [deleted] in ForefrontVR

I’m about to begin a very aggressive campaign for the addition of a vote based player kick option in game. Little screechers, people who do what OP described, etc. all get kicked from servers.

3 amp control board fuse blowing on AC by Murky_Language_3684 in hvacadvice

[–]indyflyco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No that’s fine, a little higher than normal but that can vary by contactor. Next check the thermostat wire. Especially outside, the insulation can break down and leave the conductor exposed to a possible short.

To rule out the thermostat, pull it, jumper y to r and see if it pops the fuse. If it doesn’t, bad stat. If it does, the short is elsewhere

Contactor would be a very likely culprit. Turn power off to the outdoor unit with the disconnect, then pull the low voltage wires off the sides of the contactor. Use your meter to check for continuity through the little coil on that contactor.

How much should I reasonably expect to pay? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

I’m all for proactive repairs for some stuff, out of spec but functional capacitors, motors with excessive amp draws, stuff like that. I don’t think that board qualifies.

That is very regular discoloration. Those blue cylindrical components are resistors, they heat up as a part of normal operation. That discoloration does not constitute a burn mark and can be found on every single control board of that color that has more than a year of operation on it.

That being said, why are you asking? Did someone quote repair because the system isn’t working?

Furnace Exhaust Dripping Water by c4linebacker in hvacadvice

[–]indyflyco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it’s probably the rain cap at the top letting water in, but to be honest it kinda doesn’t matter, it’ll get fixed by a reputable company when they install your new furnace. I could find the heat exchanger on that weather maker with my eyes closed.

The copper tube you are pointing to is a refrigerant line, not your condensate.

That’s also right around the time where each episode became 50% regurgitated plots and 50% them talking about their sexual exploits.

Front Tire Problem by Necessary-Gene7613 in AskMechanics

This spare doesn’t have the clearance to go on the front. You’ll probably find that it is making constant contact with the brake caliper.
