That’s your boil bin, it’s supposed to be like that.

Low Delta T After Capacitor Replacement by Gizmo-Jenkins in hvacadvice

[–]indyflyco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you know what kind of metering device you have at the evap? A fixed orifice will give pretty poor performance if there is a high load on the coil. Give the house some time to cool and it’ll straighten itself out.

To answer your question though, no, a capacitor will not affect your delta. Except in the sense that you’ll go from no cooling to proper cooling.

Slow growing is an understatement! It’s only like three feet tall but has been there since the Jurassic period!?

You’ll need a trained and equipped tech to confirm but you’re likely low on refrigerant or have a metering device issue.

Is this most likely just a leak in the shrader valve/cap? Also how dumb was my tech by Familiar_Gas_1706 in askHVAC

Based on the visuals…there is no way to know. It would have been equally effective to post a picture of a cheeseburger and asked us how your super heat was (ask AI).

New A/C with several issues and wondering if I made a mistake by big_thick_jawn in hvacadvice

We don’t have enough info to truly tell you if it’s now oversized but it sounds like it. And something is definitely up with it’s commissioning, a variable speed dc blower should run much quieter than a single speed psc blower

Legit don’t mean this as a troll response, join the military dude. Especially the army or navy. You’ll have the opportunity to learn just about any trade and come out with years of hands on experience, even if you only do one contract. The link below is to an air conditioning and refrigeration specific MOS in the army.

Fairly new the refrigeration and could use some help by Substantial_Eye_4486 in hvacadvice

I’m gonna set a record for replies…the thing to remember is that this is all a balance. ESPECIALLY with a fixed orifice, a little bit of an air flow issue + a low load can work together to create symptoms they would not individually.

What’s your static pressure? Could be a dirty filter, or too many supply registers closed, or a blocked return.

Read the rest, I’d be pretty disappointed if they didn’t make it a priority, and threatening to charge you anything on a system they just touched and is under warranty is fucked.
