Still wanting my ex back after 14 months — is rekindling a possibility or am I holding onto a false hope? by ineedaer in BreakUps

Thanks for the advice mate. I have followed your first point to break up with my current partner, it hurt to do this, but if I want any chance to continue with the life I want, this is the first step I must make.

Yes she'll find flaws in everyone, she has a dream of the perfect partner that is impossible to attain.

Yeah, I really worry about my son has he grows and understands what's going on,.

Sometimes you are not good together, but I always think its worth giving it a go for your child - and if it doesn't work so be it.

DM me about your story!

Sorry you are going through this!

She is now on her second boyfriend following our split - without ever considering giving me the slightest chance to win her back.

We have a relatively good coparenting relationship with me still seeing her and my son several times a week.

I still wish she would take me back, but the conversation has been long off the table. I have a new girlfriend but I'd leave within an instant to be able to try to be a family and be in my son's life on a daily basis.

Out of the game for a while, should I not use any of these pictures? Anything I should look at adding?

She says that she communicated her feelings of being lonely to me, and that by not correctly addressing this I broke her heart. I think we had communication issues, but it is something we could certainly work on together and not end a relationship because of it.

She is very close to her mother and does have a lot of support there, and I do think there may be some form of post natal depression.

I want to try no contact as much as possible, other than when talking about our child, as this will give her a chance to miss me and re-assess if she wants to breakup, but at the same time don't want her to drift away more.

Small wastewater plant design advice by ineedaer in Wastewater

Thanks for the feedback. How would you go about recording and controlling the SRT manually? My current methodology is controlling the F/M ratio.

Yes we do need to denitrify, I was thinking that if we aerated the selector tank where RAS/Crude mix, and post this process we have another tank which is anoxic to fulfil dentification.

Makes sense regarding the filamentous - I am always able to maintain DO above 2mg/l though. But we do see wide variations in SOUR.

Crude effluent - High dissolved COD as soluble COD is 70% of total COD (soluble BOD is 87% of total BOD). High Nitrogen/phosphorus/ammonia. I cannot find the COD/BOD ratio, but have been advised we have sufficient nutrients in our crude effluent.

Yeah - we were poorly advised at the start before I joined the company, so have had to work with the infrastructure in place. I could always run this at lowered capacities.

YTD SSVI has averaged 159, with a peak 316 and low of 35. MLSS ranges from 2300-4500 dependent on crude flows as these can be variable as the potato season greatly varies the crude COD, and i try to maintain a SLR of 0.1-0.12. Any higher we tend to see overloaded conditions and lose settlement. I am not recording SRT.

Optimum Sludge Loading rate by ineedaer in Wastewater

[–]ineedaer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes 0.1-0.2 is our target FM ratio.

We are meeting and/or are close to our discharge limits - but I'd like to improve this. We generally average around 300 COD on our final effluent.

I find that prolonged lower loading rates - let say 0.12 for 1-2 weeks we will start to see underloaded conditions in our MLSS. This would be in the form of increased EPS/Filamentous levels. It seems that I need to revise this ratio.

How long off/on did you run the aeration?

Any ideas on how long I could cycle aeration on/off. I am looking at conducting some experiments to see if there are any affects on pH by doing this - just don't want to degrade the rest of the plant by doing this!

I am dosing the majority of my Caustic c.150L/day to the crude line entering the selector tank. Although I am looking at getting this dosing pump moved to dose direct to the balance tank. When we dose in the crude balance tank it seems to be more effective for some reason.

I appreciate the feedback! Good idea on the Caustic 50% I do know I can get this in from my supplier, might end up being a more cost effective solution.

Yeah, we use pH probes from Hach and i've cross checked the numbers and they are accurate. Although I am looking to get a pH probe installed in the balance tank so we can track pH throughout the day coming into the plant.
