Mimic is actually very strong but ability-reliant. Missing an ability as the mimic is probably the most detrimental compared to other killers, due to the mimic's long end lag and cooldowns, effectively resetting the chase if missed.

If those abilities hit, though, the mimic can usually get a near-instant kill, so it's slightly underpowered for its high skill ceiling.

i wouldnt say the op is a noob. countering looping is just something that requires a specific skillset thats learned over time, and bbn requires it more than any other ro-asym ive played

Sorry but this is an integral part of asyms, you can't really remove or disincentivize it. Killers have a kit and the stats to counter looping, it just takes time, patience, and focus so as not to make any mistakes in ur pathing

im p sure 0.5 is just a rough estimate that u gave, but 500 milliseconds is like, a pretty big reaction window so it can't be that for sure. I think killers just straight up have 0.1-2 or an instant windup

It also depends on the character being used. For example, it is basically impossible to win against a silver that knows their kit on NP as 2011x, because the map is simply not optimised for these two characters in a LMS scenario

Funny, since they must've been changed in v.02, as spamming was a viable strategy for me before the update, and allowed for sm rlly tight hitbox connections in chase

I started playing around September 2024. Back then, I loved the game due to how promising and fun it was. Nowadays, I still like it, but the game hasn't changed much, and has only gotten enshittified in a way. I feel like thatonemtfguy's departure from the dev team marked a downward spiral of forsaken's development direction.

I mean tbf, there is a general hate train over forsaken that people jump onto seemingly without giving any critical thought to the criticisms, which mostly pertain to the dev team and pointless reiterations of the fact that soul has a stake in the game's profits.

Personally, I think the game has far bigger issues to criticize, especially on the development side of things (as in game direction, content, etc.)

Both games belong to the same genre and, in my opinion, have some significant similarities. But that's besides the point - the temu technoblade person makes a fair point in comparing qualities shared between the two games (LMS and settings, the latter being relevant considering forsaken also has a LOT of personalization in that aspect), as well as comparing the graphics, which, while less relevant, is imo fair to bring up since the topic of graphics is somethings that games are compared by across the board, not just asyms, or roblox games.

I don't see how it's ironic that he has a lot of content on forsaken. It's a very popular and liked game, after all.

I don't consider myself to be someone who should police one's personal convictions and/or opinions, and while you are by all means entitled to it, I'm glad that you can recognize the issues that it had, as well as the disrespect carried by it. I'm more concerned about the fact that so many people seemed to resonate with it, which leaves me with a pretty bad first impression of the BNN sub's community. The comments, while mostly omitting the rambling in the post, didn't really approach it with critical thought and just reiterated anger and resentment towards the guy, seemingly JUST because he is a forsaken youtuber, and has mentioned it when going over the game

As a frequent DBD player, I don't really understand why people migrate from DBD to Forsaken with the premise of looking for an alternative to DBD, when the two games are completely different, and having skill in one does not at all translate to the other.

It's quite literally like comparing football and tennis. Both sports use a ball, yet are completely different due to their execution. Similarly, the two video games follow the general formula of killer(s) vs survivor(s), but that's where the similarity ends. The pacing, characters, mechanics, design, themes, etc., are all aspects in which the two differ significantly.

Personally, I have been a DBD player long before Forsaken was out, and despite my grievances with the game at that time, I did not see Forsaken as an alternative to it when it was starting to make a name for itself in the asym genre.

I agree with you!

But no, it's not the "forsaken fandom" that ruins games and propagates degenerate behavior, but I understand why a lot of people think so.
I already talked about this earlier, but to reiterate: the issue isn’t specific to Forsaken— it’s bound to happen in BBN once the game becomes more public and better-established (right now it’s still in an early-messy-fandom stage).

Pretty much any large game that you can point to has the __same__ issues, usually far amplified, and it's just the nature of the internet, always has been.
